Re: What have you done today thread?
Got the Rockster out for the first time since July. Had a nice play on same of the smaller roads, then realised that the gearchanges were getting rougher and realised that the clutch wasn't biting correctly.
Bloody thing. Hopefully it's just a case of tired fluid, and new fluid and a bleed will sort it out. Otherwise half the bike has to come off to get at the slave cylinder, or more of its the clutch itself.
I've done it before, but it's a long job.
Also tinkered with the JAPton.... But got no further.
Now disgustedly mowing lawns.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I asked my beautiful, kind, honest, and clever ( and arguably just a bit mental ) Isabella to marry me
If you’d asked me ten, nine, eight, or even four years ago whether I would ever want to marry again the answer would have been a definite no, but ever since a rainy Sunday lunchtime in Marlow just over three years ago when we first met, Isabella has turned what was then a very good life for me into a truly fabulous one in every way and changed that view by “just” being herself
She lights up my life, every day for us really is a fun day ( and usually a school day for me too but I love her for that too) , and I want us to spend the rest of our lives together- we were meant to be.

Anyway, as you were - I apologise if I've caused anyone to vomit, and yes I know I'm soft as shite!

Continuing the long-standing tradition around these parts of punching well above your weight. Well done, that man!

It’s been a busy day in the workshop fixing machines, adjusting units, stripping parts down for inspection, seeing what’s needing replaced and being built back up ready for fitting.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Did the favourite walk again. It's only 5 miles but it's
Sat in the sun and had lunch watching a 'flock' of buzzards (well, 7) doing the gyre thing + a bit of the 'Oi! get off my patch thing'. A red kite got a bit of height and then glided off a few miles to the east. Got to be one of the best places on the planet just to sit.
(Anyone doing MTB stuff in/near the Surrey Hills there's an excellent, but little known, bacon butty opportunity nearby on the right days of the week too).
Oi loiks this place.

LOL! Not sure WTF is going on, middle 1/3rd of the forearm feels like I hit it with a hammer or tightened it in a vise.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Spent the PM in the Coastwatch lookout. Nice afternoon, rising tide and the first numpties of the year to get cut off by the tide. Lifted off by the Fowey ILB and dropped on the beach about 100 yards away as the crow flies. The ILB of course went back out into deep water, and then ran in again through the surf to the beach. With a brisk wind and a choppy sea I have the feeling they may have got slightly damp, which I hope will remind them to take better care next time. Bloody emmets!

Last night, but....
Swapped the clutch fluid in the Rockster...
eeuuwww...

New fluid in (after cleaning out the m/c reservoir) and the action seems back to normal. Yay! Will keep an eye on it to see if it starts going dark again quickly (indicates the push-rod seal in the slave has gone), and hopefully will get out on it tonight.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Just sent a form off to HR to increase my AVCs into my pension. Kinda makes sense for a number of financial reasons, but, fuck me, it's starting to hit home how bloody old I am.
