Identfying a Kawasaki monoshock unit

I found this in a skip, it seemed too good to leave there:



The only markings I can see on it are Kawasaki on the label and 4DN on the shock unit. I know Honda and Yamaha use 3 letter/digit codes in their part numbers but I know nothing of Kawasaki's system. 4DN suggests a smallish Yamaha with twin rear shocks so it's not that.

Any suggestions? Anyone want it, it's not much use to me?

It's very similar to the stock shock on an 04 ZX10R. If it is,some 03-06 Z1000 owners will give you money for it. The guy below is a chancer,but it looks the same at a glance.

It does look very similar, I'll ask my mate who does the bike MOT tests about local owners.

I have to admit mine ended up in a skip too. It lay around the garage for over 10 years and I finally chucked it during a clearout.

I found out afterwards that some folk like them! I was more annoyed that it could have been repurposed,rather than any pennies lost.

That's why I'm happy to give it away, I hate seeing stuff go to waste.

The mt09/ xsr/ sv650 boys use them as alternative shocks.
Depends if it has any damping left

I have to reset my brain into not thinking that a 2004 model is a newish bike. Well it is in comparison to mine.

Straight offer: Free including postage to whoever wants it. IDC if you flip it straight onto Ebay for cash, I just don't want to see it go into a skip again. I CBA Ebaying it, too unknown to risk the hassle for me.
