Looks nice, the XT / SR 500 engine lacks power

Be OK to pop to the shops on, on a dry day. I like the look of the riding position on these flat track bikes. Judging by the way the paint has worn on the tank it looks like Buster Gonad has been riding it.

I'd love a custom flat tracker, but can't have custom bikes here

There's *loads* of flat trackers in New Zealand, they're hugely popular there. Old Jap singles and twins (like XS650) command a premium, if you can find one.

I've never really 'got' flat trackers. Unless you really are riding them round a flat track, USA-style, it's pointless. No front brake and an asthmatic single cylinder lump. I s'pose having minimal power and the engine braking of a single means a front brake is needed less, but meh.

...in a perfect, traffic-free world where you won't need to brake hard.
