Yes you can get hydraulic brake light switches. But the newer RCS19 and similar M/C’s come with a brake light switch fitted making it a much easier process keeping everything as is.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 4:52 pmWhat I mean is, can't you use your fancy racing MC with a hydraulic light switch? That way it's legal and you get the best of both worlds. Or are individual components homologated and can't be changed?Yorick wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 4:40 pmThe shop only charge about €35 an hour. Can't you get a brake light switch that relies on hydraulic pressure?

Yes, Brembo must have realised that most of their M/C sales were to road riders, I guess.

Re: What have you done today thread?
There was a spell where the brakes on bikes were poor when worked hard and everyone was replacing the M/C’s, so many road bikes had them especially if the owners were doing a few track days per year.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Mon Mar 27, 2023 5:47 pm Yes, Brembo must have realised that most of their M/C sales were to road riders, I guess.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I had an RCS19 on my old 10R,it was night and day difference from stock. The Nissin m/c and Brembo caliper setup of my current bike is pretty much perfect for the road. It's the first bike I've not bothered to toosh with the front brakes. Some things actually do improve over time.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I remember when I test rode my 888 SP3 in 1992 (?) - the brakes were awful. Mismatched master cylinder and calipers, rubbish pads, and this was supposed to be the homologation special for WSBK at that time. I fiddled about with a different master cylinder (Nissin) and calipers (Billet-6) but it only really came together when I shelled out for the pukka billet Brembo calipers and matching Brembo master cylinder. Since that time, it's been Brembo all the way for me.

Booked my oldest Jack Russell in on Friday to be put to sleep. Its time and I hate playing God, but I can't leave her like she is anymore.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Well, I had a rubbish day at work yesterday because I was wayyyyy over tired (and fell over at home) - had a bit of a meltdown
I've got today and tomorrow off and two days next week.
But, got a text from my colleague telling me that I have Friday and Sunday off this week extra, and also I have next weekend off too!!
Amazing how much better I feel right now just cos I know I'm not doing even just normal hours this week and next
I do so hate getting to the point of meltdown, it's not a good method of communication!! So I need to learn when I'm getting close to that instead of getting to that point before realising!! And the boss needs to take more note of people working stupid hours too!! LOL
Guess this means I'm forgiven for having a meltdown - or he's thinking about sacking me and wants some space to think!!
Planning on doing as little as possible today, baking tomorrow a bit and more chilling before driving on Saturday!! LOL
