Finally starting to feel 100% again. Had some kind of virus for the last 2 weeks, proper knocked me back.

At the Land Rover dealership Having a coffee, whose name I can’t pronounce, whilst my car is being finished off in the valeting bay! Which is handy as I was going to clean it later!

Re: A right now thread
Sitting in front of my roaring log fire after a nice shower, with a pint mug of tea.
I'm going to do a cheese board and some nice port for a light dinner, I'm not terribly hungry after a lunch out.
I'll watch some American shite on Netflix later and fall asleep in the snug, then wake up freezing my tits off after the fire has gone out - well that's what I did last night anyway.

Three Belgian F16s just flew overhead at less than 1000ft - should I be worried? I've not checked the news today...

Three
That’ll be one French speaking, one Flemish speaking and one German speaking. And they will be fighting with each other

Re: A right now thread
Reminds me of the old joke about a number of desert islands where 2 men and a woman from various nations had been stranded on each island. When rescue came, the English men were still waiting to be introduced to the woman, the Italian men had killed each other over the woman, the French men had duelled and the victor claimed the 'spoils'. Meanwhile the Belgians were getting along perfectly in a ménage à trois.

Just reading some public responses to a takeaway which has just been awarded a one star food hygiene rating. Most people's own kitchens would barely score a one star, with cats, dogs, laundry equipment in their kitchens....

I'd want to know what the one star was for, if it only means their paperwork is up to date then I'd be worried.

It's always seemed to me that the hygiene thing should be pass/fail.
That said....growing up, my best mate's Dad was an environmental health inspector. His mum was a microbiologist. Their house was an absolute shit tip. So either they didn't bring their work home, or they realised it was less important than you think.

I gave the like because it made me laugh. I don't fancy a painful death from something I was given in a one star hygiene rated takeaway.Mr. Dazzle wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 5:49 pm It's always seemed to me that the hygiene thing should be pass/fail.

Having a beer in the sun, pain free for first time in a week.
Insurance company been dragging their feet. But I got pissed off and went to emergency at private hospital and got cortisone injection in my lower back.
By 'ell, it's nice now the pain's gone.

Off to my first ever footy match (at the tender age of 53). My work colleagues are dragging me along to Brighton United v Manchester Rovers (or something). Apparently we have to meet at a pub first to “have a few” before the match.
