I wonder if it’s the brand new 23 model, essentially the same, still calling it the K67 but with quite a few upgrades.Skub wrote: ↑Sat Mar 18, 2023 3:42 pmIt was one of your beemer models. Brake lever pin fault apparently.
He called down with his jetski in the van,the engine is something like 1700cc. The started it briefly and although I'm not adverse to loud bikes, this was eardrum bleeding time.

I suppose we need to go grocery shopping.
Haven’t been to the cinema for a while, let’s see what’s on.
We’re too early for the film, let’s have something to eat first.
Can’t be bothered going shopping now we’ll just go home.

Sounds right. I know he had the option of taking or leaving certain specs, but maybe that's the case with a lot of BM models.

I’ve had it lucky ( touch wood ) there has been a few recalls on the Gen 4 but the latest one the cut off was January 2022 and bikes built after were ok.

I called my mum today. We really don't speak often as there are too many things that we disagree on, and whilst i'm happy to say "ok, let's not talk about it" it is never that easy
But today, we had a really good conversation. Sad it can't always be like but at least it was a nice one today and I think it made her happy, so that's good

Got the GS out for the first time this year and did about a hundred miles. 10 degrees so not really cold at all.
I’d normally leave it a few more weeks but on Wednesday I’ve got a mates funeral to go to and the family want bikes to send him off.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Today was supposed to be our 3rd Sunday meet... Over the past 10 days today's forecast has changed between Rain, Dry, Rain, Dry, Light drizzle, Dry with rain later this evening... Reality at 7am: It's pissing down.
However, I have to do a run to down town LA (this will be the second time I've been there in 32 years) at noon. The plan was a quick ride to the RockStore, back home by noon & then drive to DTLA...
AND, as today's forecast only yesterday was "dry with rain later in the evening" I spent about 2 1/2 hours washing & detailing the ST as I would have been back home by 2pm at the latest... in dry weather..
So now the plan is watch F1 at 10am & then drive in the pissing motherfucking rain to DTLA & back.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Took a Holy Communion service for a few people in the small prayer room this afternoon. Such a blessing to have the security and comfort in our safe land to do this. Quiet afternoon with the wife and then back to church at 6.30pm. Enjoyed a the freshly baked cinnamon swirls the wife made when I got home a short while ago. Life is good.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Went to look at a Jag XE.
Had pretty much every option available (inc heated steering wheel and pan roof). Right miles, right colour, right price.
At a large car supermarket, but hadn't been 'processed' yet.
Was a fuckin' dog. A five year old car shouldn't have that many scratches and smell so bad. It had deffo been used as either a taxi or for wet dog transport.

Apparently so in this case. I used to bang her mom, but then again so did at least 8 or 9 of my friends (not all at the same time)

Got home from DTLA... ugh....
On the upside, on the way home I left some Civic TypeR owner wondering where it all went wrong in his life & also had a Tesla Type S owner cry uncle which was a nice bonus.

Re: What have you done today thread?
My daughter left her coat at ours and it had her car keys and works security pass in it. So I did the 70 mile round trip to take it back to her. As I was driving I was randomly flicking through the radio stations and landed on R4 as this story started. It finished as I pulled onto my drive. A very enjoyable drive!
7 Ghosts
Drama
A contemporary ghost story that uses the supernatural to explore human relationships and connections, with a love story and historic injustice at its heart.
The drama explores the way the past shapes the present, and how someone’s present happiness might literally be built on someone else’s despair. The haunting of one London townhouse becomes a powerful metaphor for the varied legacies of slavery.
The seven ghosts in the drama are all different kinds, from different eras. Some are funny, some are sad. Some intervene in the world of the living. Some are unable to make contact and simply watch. Some we hear as they become a ghost. We even hear a ghost telling ghost stories.
The drama starts with a man going to bed on his own. Suddenly a woman is there. It’s his wife, but how did she get in? It’s impossible. It’s scary and emotional - they haven’t seen each other since the terrible car accident and the funeral. He can’t believe he can see her again. He wept for months because he missed her so much. He tries to touch her but of course his hand passes through her. We assume she’s a ghost come to visit him but, as the drama unfolds, we delve into the complexities and unexpected twists of the ghost world and how it connects with the living.

Re: What have you done today thread?
I built the rest of my 'sofa' today. Not as well as I wanted to but at least I now have much more storage and a wider 'bed' bit of the sofa. I have to go to the valley and get some wood for the top of the short section and some of the card type wood to box in the middle bit. Feeling proud but aching a lot! I've given the physio something to work on for sure!! LOL
AND, a mate came up here to go ski touring and we met for a lemonade afterwards - she ordered 'olive tapanard' with the drinks. Persuaded me to try some. Well, I'm shocked!! It was nice!!
I HATE olives. Will pick them out of/off any meal!! LOL But, whizzed up with oil and (apparently salt) it was quite nice on some baguette.
I guess it must be the texture of the olives that I hate!! Going to try the tapanard again sometime just to confirm!! LOL
