You really are a knob aren't you Ant!

Go back in your whole of hating everything, i'm sure that will get you to a better place in life!
Oh dear. Happy hour at the local was it? :wtf:
Do you not see it ? Don't you see that you just post stupid things like a 12 year old ? The post specifies he's speaking/spoken to HPe who are the people who build, design etc the hardware and they can't give a good answer.. they ARE 'someone who knows' or they ought to be.

Sometimes i think you are slightly deluded... but that's only on your good days.
TBH i think he needs help, and i don't say that in a spiteful way, but in a way that i hope he reads and it encourages him to put some thoughts into himself.

You're the one who went in a rage over...... remember what the thread title is dear boy.....

If you're angered that much over it, perhaps you could take some of your own advice.....

Last time I bought eggs I got the "extra large"... what utter bullshit, need two just make one fried eggie sarnie.

Extra large dove maybe, but certainly not EL chicken eggs.

Mac OS updates that don't complete - need it working by the morning as the studio needs it to finish a big job for a big client :angry-argument:

Should have gone through a change control process where the "big job" would have been flagged and the OS update rescheduled for a more suitable time.

Yup, I should. The designers had been moaning about the server (it's a mac mini running file shares from a Linux server) running slow all day so I logged on and rebooted as it was hanging - the update started on reboot without me confirming

And we still have failure to launch so tomorrow is not going to be fun unless the tech bods catch something I've missed.

I suspect we'll be needing a new Mac server and someone to set it up, might be a bit spendy 🙄

On the bright side I've got a Mac in the office no-one is using so if we can put that into service as an emergency measure I can go on holiday at the weekend without constant worry.

Good I wish mac OS would do samba file share properly 😥

Changing my UK license for a Spanish one. Did the medical yesterday, the clinic then submit the relevant form to the traffic police. I'd been warned to make sure the form had the correct license catagories which I did. The fucking wanker has submitted the form to traffic police with my car license only. I'm beyond livid

I took photos of my licence. And my translator pal double checked the temporary paper bit they gave me.

I'd heard horror stories.

The bloke spoke reasonable English, we went through what he was going to put on the form but the Trafico website was playing up so I had to let him do it when the site was working again. He had a list of the entitlements that were to go on the form, I even sent him an email with it on just to make sure. He emailed my a copy of the form he'd submitted which had only C1 on it. I've just a chat with a woman who works there, no idea if they can fix the problem, I'll find out later.

Ordering from Amazon. Usually I try to avoid it but occasionally I need to.
Select item and go to checkout, 'order usually ships in 4-6 weeks'. Delete item and go looking again, find new item but half the reviews say 'Ordered 3 and 1 turned up' or 'Been waiting ages, give me a refund'.
Find new version that offers 5% discount on 4 or more, I select 4 but there's nothing to confirm the discount is applied or how much it is, it still shows full price.
Add item and a couple of other bits to the basket, go to checkout.
Make thoroughly sure I've unselected every Prime free trial box and see they added postage.
Go into each item and change postage to free standard, making sure I avoid all the Prime tick boxes.
Look at the total and see it still includes postage but it's removed as a vague totalled dicount further down.
Go to pay and the first item that was loads of trouble isn't listed but the amount is still on the total.
Fingers crossed I pay and it says all 3 items will be delivered on Monday.
Go into my Amazon account just to make sure I didn't miss a box and get added to a Prime trial.

What a pile of shite, at least the hidden pre-selected join Prime tick boxes seem to have gone since last time.

Ringtones. I’ve just been persuaded by all my kids to join them as an iPhone user, from Samsung. I’ve had a bespoke ringtone (Beoga) for donkeys years, and I can’t use it on the new phone. Well, I could, possibly, if I had a degree in tech, a Masters in apps and a PHD in phones. Or maybe if I was 5 years old. I’m left with the miserable list of Apple options, all of which I dislike, and none of which sounds like MY phone. Please excuse me if I don’t answer when you call….😡

Do people actually have ring tones anymore?

My phone is permanently on silent, I couldn't tell you what tone was set.

I have a dual SIM phone with different ring tones.
And comical one when the missus calls.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 8. It's so old the My Triumph app told me to piss off the other day when I tried to download it as the phone was so old. I looked at the home page photo and it was of me and kid when she was about 13. Yeah, time for a new* one, I reckon.

*When I say new, I mean taking one of Mrs. G's hand-me-downs.

If I ever accidentally leave my phone on 'ring' and someone calls me I usually don't realise my phone is ringing :D

"Is that mine?"

My back. I herniated a disc a few years back. Had a big ol' injection into the back and I fair skipped out of the hospital. However, Captain Age occasionally likes to remind me that I'm not as mendable as I once was.

Today is one of those days. Circuit class this morning, doing 'rockets', which are innocuous enough, when all of a sudden...POP! There she blows. Fucking agony.

Currently sat in my home office having taken ibuprofen and co-codamol, with an ice pack on my lower back. Pain down the front of my left leg, so I know it's impacting the sciatic nerve. Fuck-sticks.

If it gets worse I'm crying off sick and necking a few Tramadol. Away with the fairies for the rest of the afternoon.
