ZX6R Track bike
I bought this last year, fixed all the issues and really enjoyed riding it. However I need the space and I've decided to concentrate on the honda and also want to concentrate on improving my riding that no amount of swapping bikes will solve, who knew?
This is a 2006 636 with a v5 (somewhere, will find it before sale). It has about 9000 miles on it. It has a gear indicator, GPR steering damper, clipons (nice ones, not cheap shite), CRC fairings and it's been serviced last year and not had a lot of use since. It has a good pair of continental race attack mediums on it. I put a standard exhaust can on it and it easily met noise testing at Cadwell and Bedford. I also put some TWM folding levers on it. It wants for nothing, you just need a trailer or van.
£2800 but no offers at that price please. Can bring it to you for diesel if you're in Berkshire/Hampshire.

Re: ZX6R Track bike
Woohoo, found the v5! It's a 55 plate bike registered in December 2005. It was last mot'd in 2019 before it was taken off the road for track use only. Mileage at that point was 8191 so the current mileage looks right. Will take some pictures soon but the picture above was taken last year so looks essentially the same.

Re: ZX6R Track bike
I've been offered £2500 a couple of times, do people think that this is a reasonable offer or should I hold out longer? Thanks for any advice.

Re: ZX6R Track bike
MmM there's a question.
It's not a bad looking thing, has decent miles on the clocks, a V5 and i assume some history. I think £2500 is a bit light... but only if you're not in a hurry for the money or space.
I guess the buyer is looking at tyres, shock being standard, forks being standard and overall condition and going from there, it's £300-400 for new tyres don't forget.
Tough one really...

Re: ZX6R Track bike
Prices are all over the place so it's difficult to judge what's the right price. I paid £2800 for it and spent £50 on an exhaust and £150 on levers but then buying bikes and selling them in short order will always result in a slightly sickening drop.
Circumstances have changed though and I need to downsize. Getting rid of this at that amount means I get buy the bits I liked on this bike that the honda doesn't have - clip-ons and rearsets and it needs a new set of fairings. I can also replace the bike shed with a metal one without touching the savings that are now earmarked.
I also hate selling bikes.
