Being as most of the Budget gets drip-fed a week before it gets read in the House these days, I doubt there'll be many surprises.
Gotta admit, from a purely selfish point of view the raising of the LTA on pension pots is good news. Also, the amount of tax free contributions being lifted from £40k to £60k pa is good for Mrs. G as she approaches 55 (I know it's not good form to reveal a lady's age )
If only Hunt would reduce duty on champagne then I'd be in clover.
I suspect it will barely affect me. I'm old, retired and drawing a pension. Promising to keep the triple lock would be nice, but I doubt it will happen.
Inheritance tax changes might be a thing, but hey ho. It wont actually be my problem.
It would be a good idea to keep corporation tax low - but that won’t happen.
Companies should be encouraged by tax incentives to increase apprenticeships in all sectors.
And a huge windfall tax on energy companies - re-investing my arse.
Pollution Tax levied on the water companies - for every transgression on the (hollow) commitments they have given.
Scrapping of the TV licence
And some tax cuts for those being hit hard
I'm hoping we get to keep our heads below the parapet and come out of it untouched, it won't happen of course and we'll take a hit the same as we do for every budget

Same - We tend to max out pension contributions each year as a tax efficient way of taking money out of mine and my wife's businesses.
Be good to see a change on IR35 - stop moving the problem around and allow genuine contractors to work within the rules and not having to feed greedy umbrella companies and the likes.
Champers not such an issue for us but red wine tax reduction would be appreciated
I'm hoping the Government buys all Critical National Infrastructure sites and I get a civil service pension, that's the only way mine is going to get anywhere near being worth £1M, mine's going to be £200K, and that's if I work here for 30 years, my 10 years at BT is worth £10K (that's total, not per year)
I'd just like them to stop increasing income tax by the back door, what's the point of voting Tory if they are on the same tax and spend mission as Labour.
I'd have liked to see the price cap going back, rather than windfall tax. If the energy companies are in record profit, then they're obviously charging too much, as we all know.

Without any doubt, it will.
But that is because the poor spend their time moaning about Garys and rainbow hats, rather than things like trade and industry.
I'd suspect that a lot do not have the skills required to argue about such things. That's why Hunt has a job, he is supposed to be good with everything finance, but as usual with the Tories looking after your 'mates at the top' comes first before the actual financial security of the country!
