Is there a better version of 'ignore' that can be activated that blocks quoted posts showing?

I just stay out of the Bollotix section.

I appreciate you may not wish to do that,but I've never known an ignore function which does what you ask.

I tried it for a while on one particular user (I'd bet it's the same one) but it didn't work for me. I just don't ever interact with the person concerned. It's easier just to skim by his posts.

If they are quoted, it reminds me why I put them there

That's correct mate.. The only Admin account is my own one. I didn't create an 'Administrator' account as such.

Why would you want to do that? I can't imagine that that would something beneficial to learn

Me neither, I'd guess that's a considerable extra level of complexity, particularly when there are multiple posters in a re-quote.
The latter is pretty much what I do, albeit no poster on any forum has ever caused me to feel the need to use ignore - I'm probably not on them enough though I guess, don't look at all threads and miss posts.

Anyway, I don't use ignore as I find it easy to scroll past stuff I don't like and even if there are odd posters that I might largely find dull, troll-y or stupid / etc, occasionally they might say something that I either find interesting or entertaining- each to our own eh
