Can I have a 1978 GS750, as it filled the same place in Suzuki's model range that my GSX-S did?

Not that I know any one with a GS or GSX 750, a 1000 would be easier, and the weather needs to warm up before I go anywhere in a bike.

Definately. But I would not bet on anyone with a 45 year old GS750 riding it on the salt covered roads.

Excuse my ignorance, but why do people cover their number plates in pics? They're not usually speeding at the time, and the world is full of bikes, and cars, with exposed plates... . It's always puzzled me.

Excuse my ignorance, but why do people cover their number plates in pics? They're not usually speeding at the time, and the world is full of bikes, and cars, with exposed plates... . It's always puzzled me.

Since congestion charge and ULEZ etc there is a roaring trade in cloned plates to match the model of the car/bike.

I have had a penalty notice of a car similar to mine in London congestion area. I submitted proof it wasn’t my car as the colour was wrong and my car was here and it was dismissed

That^^^! I got a ticket through for my NC700X. I contacted them and told them it wasn't me or my bike. I had to submit loads of pictures of the bike so they could compare them and pretty much offer an alibi of where I would have been at that exact time. They were happy with the pictures so it never went any further.

So why don't they just use the no of any of the thousands of bikes/cars of the relevant model/colour even that you see day in, day out, on the street? What difference does it make that it's in yer garage?

Because it’s easier to Google the bike you want to clone than drive around until you see one.

I suppose it's one of those 'once bitten' things. I'm inconsistent,sometimes I'll bother to obscure the plate,then other times I can't be arsed!

I live 150 miles from London and rarely go there but still got a ticket for congestion charge ….. ironically it was shortly after I had been to London but in a completely different car with different plate to the one I got the ticket for.

Both my car and the wife’s car have personal plates on them and as far as I know I haven’t posted any pics with them visible. The bike ones I have pretty much got in the habit of partially covering on pictures but might have missed one here and there

That's almost what i sent in reply to the penalty charge notice but in slightly more polite terms. i did manage to get "incompetent" into the email and "blindingly obvious mistake on your behalf as even a simple online check would show the car pictured is the wrong colour and model"
