Passed yet?

I remember when Gremlinette passed last year. I packed her off in her new car, told her to go drive somewhere on her own. As she drove off I got really quite choked and welled up. Big stepping stone in growing up.

Dropped the ST off at the bodyshop to have new parts fitted. Would have done it all myself, but the bumper cover had to be painted & I can't do that at home.

I've been sorting out the mancave.Took 30 minutes to get the FZ750 off the workbench, turned out it had been sat there so long that both tyres were flat

The XT600,which has been parked up to one side is going on the workbench as I fancy getting the old thumper running again.
It expired over on the Isle of Man in 2017 & I think the reason for a lack of spark is that only one side of the crank is turning :wtf:
I'll post about it in the Projects section.

Today I charged car battery to 100% after leaving it on the charger overnight. Saved me money as garage were going to charge me for that (geddit).

I walked 8 miles with the hound. Three walks out of me today, around 4 hours altogether of walks. Met with a good friend for a quick catch up and chat, so that was great. Did a light afternoon meal for wife and myself with smoked mackerel and garlic bread. Was tasty, managed to keep most of it away from the cats and dog.

Did some work on a sermon for tomorrow mornings service and put together the liturgy for the Evening Holy Communion service.

Had a glass of Vicarius, a nice Hungarian Dry White Tokaji wine. £7.99 from Lidl a few months ago. Still have another bottle stashed away.

Going to have smoke salmon with cream cheese on a thick slice of fresh soda bread. Hmmm. Will finish evening with a small snifter of Laphraoig single malt.

Chucked a mixer's worth of concrete on to the scratio base to keep the rebar in place.

Went to a funeral, he was a lovely chap and well known so a very good turnout, a full church, sacristy and entrance hall, and speakers outside for the rest.

60 odd K miles, no recent advisories and a good starter for people playing "Yellow car".
Nice one.

Popped down to my cousin's memorial, dug up up the stone, gave it a damm good scrub and clean up, laid some sand down to lift it slightly higher than the surrounding soil and patted him back in.
Miss him!

Got home from a short break by the sea/estuary side. V pleasant. The hotel made me smile. They have a restaurant (fayn dayning, dontcha know) and a 'bistro' side by side. Looked at the menus, several of the options were the same (and I'm 100% certain that all the food comes out of the same kitchen). eg In one room the calf liver option was £26, in the other £18.50

First night, We're the only ones in the 'bistro' (which was actually a nicer place to sit). 2nd night, half the people that were in the other room were in the comfy side. :D

(I'm not averse to a bit of deluxe scran but, these days, I'd rather have a good breakfast and proper lunch* instead of eating a lot just before bed-time).

Helped blend the colours for spawn's new house. A mix of trod on Farrow and Ball that spawn bought very cheaply from a diy shed that was closing down, some Little Greene sample pots and some random tubs of magnolia and white I found in a skip.
