As the official Yamaha hard luggage on my newly ordered scooter is working out at £650

I'm looking for alternatives, I will have some underseat storage but as an extra I was wondering if a Kriega backpack would do the job? So, the question is, are they really that good, they're expensive for a backpack, but are they worth the money?

Or do I just use a normal backpack?

Yes. I used one for around 100,000 miles and while it looks rough it still works - no worn bits, no tears, no frayed ends. Recently the zip went but it was just a case tightening up the zipper bit with pliers.

I think Kriega is worth every penny.

I bought a Klim nacpac - i couldn’t get on with the kriega - not as well made as the Kriega.
Seem indestructible as Trinity says ( Kriega that is )

Yes, Kriega are that good. One of the few upper end bits of kit that is worth the money.

One of the very few 'buy once bike products. I've had an R25 for yonks and it's as serviceable as ever. It'll outlast my biking days.

They do really good modular seat packs too (if you don't want to wear a Backpack).
I've also got a Kriega Messenger bag that I use for commuting. Ideal for laptops etc.

As I'm going the scoot route, I'm not 100% if a tailpack would fit on one? As the whole seat unit raises it could shift. Time for some research.
