Bandit 600s float valve measurement?

Post by ace llani »

Hi - would anyone know the carb float height on Bandit 600s, 1997?
Standard main jet sizes would also be helpful.

Came in for a carb clean, but wasn't told someone had played with it first..

mains are 2 #100 and 2 #98.

thanks

No idea what they are, but a bit of Googling should have the answer.
100 main jets sounds large for a 600 Bandit.

There's a 99/00 Blandit 600 workshop manual on carlsalter.com

It's a kosher site, despite the look and the ads.

Is it running a full exhaust or similar? As above, main jet size is 92 and the float height is 17mm +- 1mm

Many thanks to all.

Running the OE pipe. mains are definitely #98 and #100
float heights were all over, air screws different settings.

I'll put it back together - if it starts and runs it's a winner, was flooding and only firing on one....

Thanks for that - site is indeed very helpful, and shows that a UK bike would come with #90 mains, but German bikes had #98 mains in carbs 1+4, and #100 in carbs 2+3.

Float heights were a little off, except for one, which was way off .

I'd have balanced the carbs too if the bastard would start lol.

Checked for sparks, and only one plug made the effort.
No wonder, they look like they came off the Titanic..
