An Evening with...

Post by KungFooBob »

...some washed up ex-bike racers.

Joking aside, has anyone been to one?

There's one being advertised near-ish me with Jim Whitham and McPint.

Will it be full of middle aged men wearing race team fleeces and best avoided, or genuinely entertaining?

Whit is nearly always funny,he's found a cool little niche for his character. J.McG maybe less so on his own,but Whitham has a talent as a convivial host and brings out the best in folk.

The middle aged men in race team fleeces will most certainly be there, they may even look a bit like you.

Been to a couple, James Whitham is entertaining, though I don't think I deserved the term "well nourished", Steve Parrish is also quite good, Neil Tuxworth has some good stories, Sammy Miller is also funny once you get him talking.

McPint is a friend of a friend, and apparently entertaining with a couple of beers in him.

Whit is amazing. But the dudes in the crowds are all the same. Sleep, work and play in BSB livery

Went to a charity fundraiser evening with J Whitham, Jenny Tinmouth and Trevor Nation a few weeks ago. Really good, entertaining event, 3 people who were modest, funny, great tales of derring-do and some woes. Didn't take themselves too seriously. JW is a genuinely good entertainer. They kept 200 rufty tufty biker dudes happy for 4hrs, with a bikey quiz and auction of bike related stuff thrown in. A good evening. J McG would be a good addition.
