Yeah, me too. But Jorge Martin is a bit of a dark horse.

Bagnaia has to be the 'on paper' favourite. The Ducati is strong and he's a top class rider.
The last I read,Fabio was saying the new Yamaha is a disaster. This close to the season start, that doesn't inspire confidence in any of the riders beating Ducati to the title.

I understood it to be a major problem with new tyres and low fuel; i.e. qualifying trim. If they can't qualify well, then they really are in deep sh1t. New tyres and full fuel load, no problem (i.e. race trim). They can't get new tyres to work with low fuel load.Skub wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 2:45 pm Bagnaia has to be the 'on paper' favourite. Qualifying down the grid, then working through the pack in the race, only to have the bike go away from them in the latter stages, sounds like a disaster indeed.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 2:56 pmI understood it to be a major problem with new tyres and low fuel; i.e. qualifying trim. The sprint race will be with half fuel. Hmm.mangocrazy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 2:56 pmI understood it to be a major problem with new tyres and low fuel; i.e. qualifying trim. It’s hard to see on the current testing form anyone but a Ducati winning the big prize….. ironic really given how long it’s taken for them to get the championship since Casey won it.
The final test might bring some surprises although the track at Portimao has its own intricacies

Maybe they'll send out the Yams with a full tank to have a chance.Yorick wrote: ↑Wed Feb 15, 2023 3:26 pmThe sprint race will be with half fuel. Fabio and Marc will still be in with a shout cos they are class, but really sounds like their bikes are shit. So it's possible but sounds unlikely.
Hard to see past Peco and the Beast. Best bikes, very good riders.
