Tracing a creak, that's a heck of a job at times

Fitted new pedals, checked shock hardware, checked all pivot bolts, bearings, etc, then dropper post, saddle mounts, saddle, then headset (which is knackered it seems), then onto a spare wheel. It was then I thought "oooh that's the noise there" so maybe it's the wheel. Re-fit axle without wheel, there it is again. You can feel it's over on mech side. Loosen off the 19mm nut that the axle screws into (and secures hanger), yup that sorts it. Weird one that.

Been bugging me for the last few rides with creaking. Good as gold now

Set the slayer back to 'bearing' on the back end of the shock today.... i only set it to bushing type a while ago for ease of testing/swapping springs. But thought i may as well go back to bearings now.

It still makes me laugh just how small 'gaps' look on camera. This one is about 8' and took me a few runs at it before i was ready. I had the 2 small ones giving me jumping tips and then cleared it with ease.

It looks so much more substantial in real life and so much more 'oh this could go wrong' ... but it's something i massively need to work on, this is the sort of feature that comes up time and time again on trails me and the boy ride and so many times i bottle it. Despite the knowledge that i'm not completely incompetent and the fact that if you hit a slope with enough speed, you WILL leave the ground Both meaning, if you go for it, the odds are you'll be fairly OK.

the next big step for me was 'hit it again' and again...and again. I ended up with 5 runs at it and 5 wins.... Which was excellent. Normally i bottle it afterwards. Step 2 will be going there again and hitting it on run1. That's again where i struggle, doing it without worrying/thinking.

Definitely! Gaps like that do look huge, almost like they'll be too big to get over. You're clearing that no problem though - it looks smooth and not like you're forcing a jump or anything.

I have a similar problem in that I'll spend too long looking at something and 'building up' to doing it that I end up not doing it all. I've not managed the biggest drop in the skills area at twisted oaks yet despite watching countless people roll over the edge without incident!

I find on most occasions if i set myself a goal i WILL try it... but sometimes not that day... I've got one particular feature which is a drop/gap which i've promised myself i'll hit this year....

Ridiculous part is, it's smaller than that... yet scares me as it's a drop as well as a gap.

This is my target for the next visit(s) to Twisted, but we'll see how that goes. Presuming I can do the drop (top left) I can try the gap...

I've done the drop. I didn't hit the gap. I'd half say it was because I was cold and went home. But not sure I had it that day.
I think I'd hit it

My drop-gap is similar but slightly shorter but a less nice Lansing

Just had a play on his 141, I really liked it, apart from the 800+ bars which I’d trim if it were mine.

Sizing, really nice in P2 for me at 6’0

Code brakes, well they’re epic. Not sure if he’s just really used to the Hopes, but the Codes are lovely. I may even struggle not to put my SLX brakes up for trade on some codes lol.

He’s absolutely flying it looks like to me.

I did the dad-gap-jump which Couchie did yesterday, I never thought I’d do, but managed it. Heart in mouth and pounding! Did about 5 goes on it trying to improve, but need to up my technique to get it nicer.

I'll be honest mate, if @Couchy hadn't done it yesterday i'd not have tried it.. I've been there loads with them and just looked and laughed when they'd mention me doing it. But as soon as he did, i knew i can.... We're not far apart in terms of ability so a case of "if he can do it, so can I "

Awesome, it doesn’t look much on the photos but stood next to it is a different story especially with the height and angle of the ramp. My problem was the kids made it look so easy so I had to try it. Didn’t have same thoughts about the bigger one they were doing though

Well the bigger one is half the height but 4* the distance. I was also playing on another today which is lower and longer, but I wasn't getting it right at all. That then leads into another higher/steeper/shorter about 15m later but I don't have a double double in me yet.

I'm amazed that you find the P2 rideable - they are short top tube, due to the seat angle.
I know you hate LLS - but it must be like riding a Raleigh Grifter
