LED floodlight with a remote PIR

does such a thing exist?

our front path is about 30m long from gate to front door and in the dark it's, well...dark

the PIR sensor on the current light is is only effective within about 8m from the light so we normally resort to using the torch on the phone until we're within range to switch the light on.
We have a door bell triggered by a battery powered PIR attached to the gate and I recon it'd be great if we could get one to switch light on as we come through. I think the Tesco deliver guys would be happy with the light as well

But does such a thing exist? The sensor Must be battery powered as there's no real easy way to run power up there.

I have several battery operated PIR lights along my driveway they come on it turn as you progress

Tip if they are very bright keep them below the height of any car windows or they then to blind you a little

The last time we tried those battery powered lights they stopped working the first time it rained and then fell apart when I got within 6ft of them

it's a good shout though, I'm sure these things will have got a bit betterer over the years

I have a solar powered one on the shed.

Annoyingly the PIR sensor lasted one winter, then it seems like water got into it.

It still charges and works, but the light would often stay on all the time so I've now just taken to tripping the sensor on my neighbour's garage floodlight, then walking over and switching the one on my shed on manually using the on/off switch

It's flipping bright though so if I fancy buying another I'll just make a little roof for it or something (the solar panel is separate to the light)

Between my gaff and my extended family I've got a good dozen of them, they all still work as they should, and the oldest one must be getting on for 6 or 7 years now.
