Silly me, I used to think kobblies on street bikes was the stupidist tyre choice but they've excelled here

Absolutely; spend loads on bling to create a cafe racer then stick a car tyre on the back. Fuckwits.

No. For lots of reasons. Tyres, seat, some of the welding and probably more.

To be fair it makes some sort of sense when you read the article. It's not road legal, he says the tyre was just added for a 'WTF' effect and he isn't sure himself what the bike is 'for'. I guess it's just a showpiece for his workshop.

Still seems a bit of a waste of all that effort to build a usable bike and then make it barely useable. :eh:

Well, only for the 10 mins it takes to throw a decent tyre on. It could be a cracking bike with a little time and effort.

True. Dunno what else is needed to make it road legal. It looks almost ready to ride?

Not sure that lengthening the wheelbase was the right thing to do, but otherwise it's

They've done a reasonable job of hiding the rad and pipework, which is what usually let's cafe versions of the water-cooled Ducati's down.

He has a good eye for styling. It all flows nicely as an object of art.

Water cooled Duc engines are fugly things, but he's put in a shed load of time and effort to have one approaching pretty.

Change the tyres, put on a set of higher bars and I'll take it for a run.

I've just noticed - the two tone red and blue stripes on the tank/fairing are the absolute spit of the ones that were on the very first 250 and 350LCs. (Un)conscious copying or homage?
