Re: Kawasaki W650 Scrambler
That would be this one.
Good to see that they've not used the XT500 front brake ..

Re: Kawasaki W650 Scrambler
I quite like some of the variations on the W650. I idly muse sometimes that I'd like one in the garage, for those lazy 'old man' days. I foolishly imagined the twin would be as light as a heavy bicycle. The bloody thing is another 200kgs machine.
There must be some kind of law/agreement that bikes need to be 200kgs or north of that.

Re: Kawasaki W650 Scrambler
In MCN the other week they were knocking out 800s at 2 or 3k off the silly RRP. Can't remember the discount exactly but they were £6k.
The 650s have really held their money though from what I've seen.

I prefer the 800 that Earnshaws did back in the day... I remember them having it in stock for years.

Re: Kawasaki W650 Scrambler
The only thing about the W650/800s that gets me interested is the engine - a bevel gear drive OHC 360 degree parallel twin with balance shafts. Put that in a modern lightweight frame with quality monoshock rear suspension and forks (USD or RWU, I'm not fussed) and I could be interested. I really have no desire to go back to twin shockers.
