As if it could get any worse
Watching the human tragedy unfold before our eyes, the loss of so many people, lost futures and families from the earthquake is pretty unbearable at times.
Then we're treated to the insensitive, headline seeking reporters asking a bereft and bereaved person, having found their child, partner or other loved one dead..... "how do you feel?"
Why do all the various news teams think that they're making their particular report more interesting by feeding off of these poor souls?
They should be ashamed.
Our local chippy is Turkish owned. One of the team left for a visit to his elderly parents a day or two before it struck. All are now dead.
Life's pretty unfair at times.
They've closed for a week; the local support has been amazing. Just a simple guy who always smiled and was pleasant, no matter if it were a bag of chips or a massive fish and chip order.
It's a shame that he didn't get to know how much he was appreciated.

The media fest is utterly abhorrent.

Sky shipping in Kate Burley, in perfect hair, and perfect clothes and asking people truly banal questions today , defies belief. Why they ha dot ship her a the camera crew there is beyond me.
Especially when a real journalist would have cost them far less.
It is an abhorrent media circus

On a day to day basis, nowhere near enough reporters are punched in the throat.

She got caught out this morning when some poor old man approached her in an unscripted moment. He needs medicine and all she wanted to do was get rid of him.Mr Moofo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 10, 2023 7:06 pm Sky shipping in Kate Burley, in perfect hair, and perfect clothes and asking people truly banal questions today , defies belief. They should get her out of there and use the money to help people.
