So with testing underway, the Yamaha looking faster.

Where are we seeing 2023 heading ? Ducati cruising to victory ? or will the new Honda setup/teams come into play ? maybe the Yamaha ?

...or Aprilia, or even KTM? Maybe Suzuki have done a favour by helping to shake the field up so much. Marquez & Quartaro on possibly improved bikes, a properly competitive works Ducati pair, two more Aprilias, lots of change at KTM/GasGas.

Could be interesting.

the Prilas i think will go well, the young superstars seem to be going well on them, not enough to push for the overall i think, but deffo a few podiums throughout the year.
I think the main questions will be the Yamaha power
https://www.crash.net/motogp/feature/10 ... -what-next

and the Marquez factor...

If neither of those two work out, then it's Ducati really isn't it.

Completely agree, I'm just in my naively optimistic phase of the season.

On paper it looks like Ducati is the obvious favourite, but anything can happen in racing.

Maybe Marquez will come out swinging.

Maybe the Yamaha will have moar speedz.

Maybe Pecco and the beast will have a season long battle and trip each other up.

Maybe Vinales will earn his huge pay packet.

Lots of maybes,or maybe not.

I really hope Marquez does well, I’d also like to see Jack Miller do well.

Marquez will bin it early in the season and be out for the rest of the season
Ducati will pour money and bikes at the championship
Yamaha will be slow in a straight line but will win the championship
KTM and Aprillia will go well at some venues but will not be serious championship contenders
Rins or Mir will come good for Honda in the second half of the season
Everyone will moan about Suzuki leaving the championship

I think the big question is whether Yamaha will force Quartararo to race with a touring fairing or not.

Me too although I don't think the older wiser MM will be exactly the same but he'll still be the main man to beat.
I hope Honda manage to build a competitive bike.

I'm REALLY looking forward to this Season.

Day 1 test finished. Glad to see the Yamahas have gained a bit of top speed.
Franco Morbidelli seems to have discovered his mojo.
The new Honda riders are still a way off.

I know it's only testing, but top KTM in 16th place? And Ducati locking out all but 3 of the top 10?

It would be a brave man who would bet against Bagnaia for WC 2023. I'm glad to see Top Gun doing so well in testing (but then he always does).

On equal bikes, I'd put Fab Frog and MM right there.

I agree. I'd even put Fab Frog fractionally ahead. I hope he has a decent bike under him this year.

I know it’s only testing but Honda looks all at sea and way down the order, Yamaha seemed to have found something, Ducati are steaming on to class domination, Aprilia are doing what they can and KTM/GasGas are falling behind

Watched a bit of footage from the test and the Ducati lot are looking for top honours while the rest are playing catch up. Marquez junior was ahead of Marquez senior which is unusual in itself
