Remember the days when a spark plug change was a two minute job by the side of the road? Now there's so much gubbins you may as well do the valve clearance while you're in there.

Nearly killed my cat

I’d put drain cleaner down the toilet sink as it had started to stink a bit. I poured some into the overflow as well, which leaked down into the sink…I just left it, intending to rinse it down after the rest had done its stuff.

Later I was downstairs and the cat ran past me and up the stairs. It dawned on me where he was going (for a drink) and I ran after him.

Too late, he was sitting in a puddle of Mr Muscle drain cleaner.

I whipped him out, took him downstairs and Mrs S and I put him in the sink and washed him down.

Have you ever tried giving a cat a bath?

Fortunately we got there in and got it off before he ingested any. That was yesterday and he seems fine.

I think I'm going to get a two stroke single.

Just finished, well, letting the oil drain whilst I have a cup of tea. On the bright side the only other thing that need to be removed to swap the plugs was most of the skin on the back of my hand.

I've got a bike where you need to access the plugs at the side of the road.

You need a nice Guzzi or an R series beemer.

Swapping plugs on my Guzzi compared to my Trident couldn't be more different.

Getting the centre plug out of that Triple with that huge spine frame right over the top of it....yeah thanks for that, oh and carbs off for an air filter change, sure that sounds like a great idea too

Schedule for this is every 12,000 - these have just been swapped out at 11,500

Oh. One thing I have done today is made my annual donation to Wikipedia/Wikimedia. It still amazes me that it's free, I use it almost daily and it's doing what it can to remain free of political interference. Not always getting it right but I appreciate it.

It's months since I've looked something up there and it was probably only some race results to prove a point on a thread here.

I use it quite a lot at work, everyone I know does. With so many different disciplines you often hear some technical term or jargon you don't know. Wiki is great for stuff like that, dry technical subjects are free of meddling I assume. Either that or all our electric motors are now Biden supporters.

Worth supporting with a few £ then. At least that's how I feel as a regular user.

I pretty much do use it daily as I'm curious about stuff. It's a great resource.
