People who go to a fast food place, get their food and then sit outside or in the car park to eat it, stopping anyone else from parking. Greggs is the worst for this.

That's like the text you get from Sky when you are roaming in Europe ... "Great news, your Roaming Passport Plus is active. You'll only be charged for the days you use. The £2 charge will be added to your bill" .... Yeah that is great news I have to pay £2 fucking pounds a day!

It's perhaps an honest reaction and depiction of the company, after awarding themselves a 700% pay rise.

Another rant about last minute call offs.

I think I complained before about call offs to our archery intro course.

The latest course was fully booked for 6pm Friday.

So of course we had a 3 person family call off at 2.15 because ‘sorry we can’t commit at present’

So it took you till then to decide?

Yup. We're having to ask customers to pay up front because a few on busy days have 'found a better (cheaper) option'.

But, amazing how many people object to paying for their airport transfer in advance. Can't see the chalet company or the airline saying "Sure, pay half now and half at the end of your holiday"  Stoopid fukkers :angry-cussingblack:

Even some restaurants take card details in advance. You don't turn up for a booking, you still pay to cover their losses.

Most around here do, because the 'London' habit of booking one (or more) restaurants months ahead, and then deciding where to go at the last minute has spread down with the emmets. One small restaurant owner was complaining last year he had 17 no-shows on a busy Saturday night, so his 30 seater restaurant was half empty. He now takes a credit card, and the website warns you WILL be charged.

Quite happy with that. I think the no show habit is appalling and the offenders should be stung for it.

The absolute state of journalism these days.

This is just one example of the drivel shat out by these so called professionals.
I dispair
Not only is there no story, just a jazzed up advert for Iceland, the clickbait headline is based on some random comment on twitter.

My MSN news page is full of shite like this, normally from the myLondon 'news' site. The only thing that shocks me about the article is that there are no spelling mistakes in the headline.

Is there some rule about local journalism that every story has to have at least 3, very simple, spelling mistakes in it?

Maybe their brother/sister/gran/dog died.

Maybe their car broke down or their boiler has exploded.

If they explain the reasons, then fair enough, life happens. But if they just can't be arsed to turn up... well.

Do they even do any research?

Shock as unknown blues singer beats Beyonce, Adele, Taylor Swift, to win Song of the Year Grammy

The singer in question is Bonnie Rait, who was first nominated for a Grammy in 1980, first won a Grammy in 1990 and has won 15 Grammys in total. Just because the "journalist" hasn't heard of her doesn't mean she's unknown ffs

TBH If I was Bonnie Rait and looking at their roster of 'the greatest musical artists the world can currently offer' I'd tell them where to stick their Grammy.
The plural of 'anecdote' is not 'data'.
