Re: Plod have recovered my X-ADV!
Got a reply from an auto locksmiths who reprogram keyless stuff. Not sure what a SCU is, but it looks like I'll be stripping it down to see if something has been put inline somewhere? I'm told emulators plug into the ignition switch wiring, so that should be easy to check.
"If it was stolen then someone has reprogrammed the scu or removed the scu unit.
If they have just reprogrammed it then we can sort it out for you.
If they have stole the unit completely then you would need whole new lock set".

Switch or sensor control unit?

Re: Plod have recovered my X-ADV!
Been out to the bike and tried inputting the override code, but it starts flashing to say code complete after 8 digits when my code is a 9 digit. So I assume its been reprogrammed? So into the garden and cleaned up and put for sale as it is.
So a non running, stolen recovered bike with a ground off chassis number, panel damage and worn tyres. What do you think it'll make on eBay? Would you go with high priced classified ad and invite offers, or a low start no reserve auction?
Salvage one on ebay, cleaner and running took an unknown offer on its £5495 listing price.

You'd have to pay me to take it away, but I suspect it will make reasonable money.weeksy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 10:36 amI know what i'd pay.... but i expect it'll make a lot more.Taipan wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 10:30 am Been out to the bike and tried inputting the override code, but it starts flashing to say code complete after 8 digits when my code is a 9 digit. That's true, but I'd have a go on it before I sold it on, you never know I might find that I love it, I think the last twist and go I rode was a Suzuki FZ50 in 1983

Advertise at £3500 and take £3000. Still a lot of bike for the money.

Put some chunky tyres on and you could do towed uplifts.weeksy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 27, 2023 12:51 pmI think it'd be a hoot ! I'd have one over the new Honda Hornet or any of the other 700 - 800 twins.
