The original XB12S is one of most favouritist bikes ever. The only reason I haven't bought one is because I already have some unreliable bits of crap.

This bike actually makes the XB12S duller IMO.

Nice job. Putting lights on such a thing normally is the undoing of them, but they've got it bang on. Manufacturers should look at this and learn something!

I like that, obviously I don't want to ride it or own it.

I quite like that - but XB in engine only.
And only a dwarf will be able to ride it.

That. Even dwarves will find it a struggle. To be honest the best thing about any Buell is how they manage to make it so small when the engine is so fecking massive. It's engineering genius (apart from the fact that no engineering genius has ever been anywhere close to a Buell).

I like that, but I like the Flat Tracker look when it's done well. The only thing I'd like to mess around with is the shape of the number boards - a bit more of a curve at the rear might please me more, but it would need to be mocked up with to see if that went with the rest of the design

Looks like an analogue rev counter + inset digital speedo?

Blurb only says it's a Motogadget Chronoclassic gauge. Doesn't say whether it's a tacho or speedo (both are available), and I can't be certain from the photos which one it is.

<edit> on closer inspection it looks like its the 8000rpm tacho version, with LED speedo, so all good. In which case, crack on. I like.

It looks like a Koso unit the same as I have on Kawasaki, the dial is a rev counter and the digital bit at the bottom is the speedo, but you don't need a rev counter to know when you're over revving a Harley engine, your fillings fall out.

Carbon handlebars are fun. They'd suit the stock bike even more though.

I love the idea of a Buell, but I don't have the mindset to own one.

I like it. Unlimited funds, unlimited garage - I might even want it. Not sure where I'd ride it though.

Standard XB12S for comparison.

IMO this custom makes it more generic.

Buell is the only manufacturer to recall every bike they ever made, often more than once...
