Expensive Supermarkets

Asda over the past few years has become expensive. People still think that it's the cheap one of the big supermarkets, but I reckon Waitrose is probably cheaper, Tesco certainly is.

That all depends on where you live. I am in what they call an affluent area. We have a local Tesco and if i drive 13 miles east down the coast to the closest ASDA i can get more for my money. about the same milage if i go West i can get probably half my shopping cheaper in the Tesco there than i can at home. Some Tescos around Edinburgh are/were when i last passed 4p a lt cheaper on diesel than my thieving local.

You get a far higher concentration of yummy mummies in Waitrose and a complete absence of ugly birds wearing pyjamas and crocs. Surely that's worth a few quid?
I shop at Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsburys (Although no real reason to over Morrisons), Waitrose, The local butcher, Veg Shop, Wilco (fro cleaning products).
They've all got something going for them. Recently, I'm most impressed with Morrisons Deli, FIsh and Meat counters.

Waitrose is literally 3 mins walk from my house sadly. This means her indoors 'nips to Waitrose' nearly every day. £££. It is stacked full of tidy milfs compared to pitsea, it's true. Carpark full of badly parked range rovers.
Did see some rough as toast blonde Doris who had been on big brother in there once. White range rover with chrome wheels. Classy.

I reckon all of us have probably worked in food prep in one form or another throughout out lives. For me it was Domino's and the concessions counter at a Cinema.

I had the cider i bought at M&S yesterday.

They are quite obviously just Sheppys Vintage with an M&S rebrand. £2.75 a bottle, 3 for £5 in tescos.

They are nice as Sheppys is my fav cider brewer, but just at a premium price.

The Waitrose range may be greater than other - so stacking shelves with more SKUs cost money. But the vast majority of stuff will be very similar to Tesco / Sainsbury. It's not anyone would charge Waitrose more money for exactly the same products -

M&S stuff is definitely not what it was in range or quality.

I found Waitrose was lacking choice, mainly things that parents would want to buy. There seemed more the sort of stuff that grandparents would buy so the age demographic was pretty clear.
