As always i want to be completely transparent as i still think of this as 'our' forum, not mine.
So as you'll have seen, the board has been down for a while today.
This is due to @HiFi Kabin our friendly Techie sorting out the latest forum software along with updating all the extensions. (you won't know what most of them are or what they actually do, but they do a lot of our 'background' stuff on the forum.
With this and the fact i've just paid for @tricol to attend Pembrey, we're in a position where as a forum we're very short on funding. Now what i don't want is the usual guys to put their hands in the pockets and donate cash... That's not what i'm doing here, i'm just letting you know where we are in the grand scheme of things at the moment. I know many of you guys are more than happy to pay extra... but i'm hoping that the non-subscribers get their wallets out and pay
If not, that's OK, it's all well and good and by the time we need to pay for our Hosting in Feb there'll be plenty of money in the coffers to cover it.
I don't know how happy some of you may or may not be with the above of RTTL paying for someone to do a trackday, but i've been transparent about that every year, we've now done it for the last 3 years, along with @Alan PBTD who gave one of our guys (i think it was G.P) the full cost of his trackday back on the day in a raffle. Last year it was offered to @Bigyin and @Docca due to their having done/doing things in the community in the past/present. It ended up going to @Trinity765 for her place as we try to encourage newbies onto circuit. Which is why i've chosen Tricol this year.
Any questions, thoughts, discussions.... well, as i say, it's your forum too, not mine. Just speak up.
