Can you imagine how the ones behind up felt "fuck me, that bloke never finished anything other than last until we turned up"

We're staying Friday and Saturday nights as my wife's coming and she's not into mtb, so we'll do something together on the Saturday so it's not an entirely selfish weekend from my pov.
Think my mate and his lad and possibly some friends hopefully also coming, should be a good day.

Yup, all booked and paid for.

Just got some body armour too (top half). Needs a bit of modifying for my one-of-a-kind physique but the missus is good with needle and thread. :)

All we can do is hope... Should be getting to hotel by 5pm, it's 1hr 40 from Bringewood, so not too bad a drive down through Wales to get to hotel.

Can't wait for this.

We've got between us and mates probably more than a whole bus load, so i think groups will end up splitting to an extent, but some are thinking more Green than anything, some are Blues, i'll be doing more Red than anything and the teenys will be doing red/blacks i'd expect.

I'm looking forward to the Dynamics..."You go first, no you, nah, you go first.... no, you go"

Weirdly for some reason i think both me and the lad will be first in our respective groups... I'm not sure if that's deliberate or not, but always seems to end up being the case. With me, the other oldies seem to think that because i've ridden there more than them, i should go first lol... which isn't necessarily the case, but i can get it to an extent. But it'll be a laugh getting it done and seeing how we all do.

@Beancounter and @Couchy will be destroying everyone on their Eebs of course...

That's stinky, looking at the race we did the fastest bikes downhill were non ebikes. Ebikes are slower downhill and BPW is downhill. If we can match the non ebikes it'll be an achievement on inferior machinery that's for sure :)

Makes no odds, ebikes are slower downhill. You're also much more experienced downhill and at BPW so me and poor @Beancounter are on the back foot straight away. Luckily its a social ride but we'll still be lucky to see which way you dudes go :)

Just arrived in Merthyr, currently beautiful weather, 7 degrees, some snow on the fields and 🌞, what it will be doing come Sunday is anyone's guess...but I'm gonna enjoy what we've got currently.
