A wooden electric streamliner

Post by The Spin Doctor »

Fancy the Vectrix VX-1 custom? It’s based on an electric scooter, but the body appears to be a mahogany and fibreglass with polished aluminium trim. The cowpoke saddle looks to be a modified leather Corbin.

It used to look like this.

Many of us wanted to drive steam trains, become astronauts or cowboys - but I as a youth always dreamed of noiselessly cruising the streets on a massive wooden gourd.

That would be ace for the commute but I'd cover it in fake horse fur and put a horses head on it :)

Roll it over on its back, like a beetle, so it can wave its wheels in the air?

I had a go on a Vectrix back in 2006. They went bust some time ago, didn't they? Rather sadly, as it was a pretty good machine. Does the wooden 'fairing' enhance it? No.
