I'm going to the interactive Gunpowder plot thing next Sat in that London which looks good. I did the War Of The Worlds one just before Covid and that was ace so hopefully this will be good. Really hoping I get the opportunity to blow the fuckers up this time. 8-)

Then in Feb I'm going to see Kid Kapichi in Camden, really looking forward to that as really like them and not seen them live before.

May I think it is I have The Bronx and Turnstile which will be amazing.

Then finally (for the moment) I have Iron Maiden in July I think it is. Maiden were the first band I ever saw when I was 12 (well technically it was Anthrax as they were supporting) and I've been meaning to book end things by going to see them again before they split up or die. So having put it off a few times (I hate arenas) I've bitten the bullet. Up the Irons

I'm sure they'll be a fair few other gigs I end up at.

I saw them support Giuda pre Covid in Camden and they were great, esp the bass player. Picked up one of their CDs they had for sale.

My questionable past poked me in the brain tonight...
Went to see that Pink Floyd tribute band, at times there were up to 11 band members on stage.
They started out by doing The Wall in it's entirety & they did it absofuckinglutely PERFECT.
Then they did a bunch from DSOTM & some of WYWH.

The brain poke surprised me about half way through The Wall when I had some pretty spectacular flashback, so that was a nice surprise.
Wall was my favorite mushroom music back in the day :)

We went to see the Aussie PF last November, and they were as close to the original as anyone could want. Didn't get the mushroom flashback though... :D

Saw Think Floyd at the Fairfield Halls some years ago (they're still going). To their credit they didn't try and look like Floyd but, close your eyes, and it was like the real thing.

We saw Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets last year and they were excellent. No mushroom flashbacksfor me either.

Didn't Aussie Pink Floyd play Dave Gilmour's 60th birthday? All the endorsement you need really!

Penny's brother was drummer in a Moody Blues tribute band.

They played at Justin Hayward's birthday bash with all the group there.

No pressure then :D

Got tickets for Aussie Pink Floyd for November this year in Birmingham. That’s about the 15th time I will have seen them, and in the 6th country if you count Scotchland.

I saw them a Leeds festival and they were brilliant, one of the very best live performances I've ever seen. It was just a 2.5hr constant jam session, epic playing.

That was also nearly 20 years ago, now that I think of it :D

We were supposed to see them last year in Bellahouston Park (sp), they cancelled on the day of the gig, we got the ticket money back but lost the cost of the hotel. Strangle / coincidentally Guns and Roses cancelled the same venue under the same terms around the same time…

I saw them 10/11 years ago and they were fab, the current Mrs SC couldn’t attend as she’d only just had her gall bladder removed (excuses excuses). So we’ve always said we’d see them when we could.

Yeah, my wife had seen them before and they were great hence going but they just weren't interested in making a show last year. Didn't engage with crowd at all - played their set and just walked off, no encore or anything.

Just trying to arrange tickets for Roger Waters in June.

I also have a history of various Floyd incarnations... saw the full band 4 times in the 80s/90s, Waters in Berlin and the Aussie ones god knows how many times... 10 or so I guess, including the O2 for the DSOTM anniversary. Shame I missed the Nick Mason thing a couple of years ago, would've loved to see that.
