Not been the best year for me

Post by maccecht »

Haven't been here for a while all though I do check in for a look see every so often.
Had 2 bike crashes this year months apart one in September one in November. 1st one on a tour of Scotland when I got rammed up the ass on my brand new T Max by my own brother no less who was day dreaming. Hit me then a mate at 40 mph all three bikes wrote off all of us injured. Three ambulances 1 helicopter 2 police cars and 1 fire engine and not a single broken bone.
Roll on November going round a roundabout get hit in the side by some blind muppet who then tried to run over me in his Vauxhall Mokka. Police were pretty useless more concerned about breathilizing me who couldnt get a breath in rather than quizzing the dickhead who rammed me. 2 fractures to left leg seperated ribs bruised kidneys. The mighty Burgman 650 totalled he even cracked the engine casings. Some of you may remember me buying that one on Revcounter it was a fine machine. Still off work from that little off. Managed to find another one with a mere 4800 miles on it 14 plate. Since both accidents I have learned to detest insurance companies they are a total shower of shite and the most incompetent people I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. No particular reason for telling you this just wanted to offload a little. No sympathy required. But be careful out there folks it's bloody dangerous 😳

On the bright side, you've now got something you can rib your brother about at every family birthday/christmas/wedding from now until the end of time.

Oooh that brings back memories of being rammed outside Belmarsh Prison by a sleep driver... (not that kind of ramming gentlemen).

Hope you recover, physically, mentally and emotionally. Years of experience does not protect us much from erroneous drivers/riders whose lapse in concentration or common sense then imperils those around them.

Peace and grace.
Proverbs 17:9
One who forgives an affront fosters friendship, but one who dwells on disputes will alienate a friend.
