My thick as mince pup. She is coming up six month and training shall we say, is slow. Today for the first time she now understands how to give a paw without being offered a treat and just using hand gestures. I knew there was a brain in their somewhere

Worth persevering on that. Really useful when our dog when deaf, he still knew the basic commands. And ignored them when it suited, just like when he could hear.

Oh yes. Last Rottie knew hand gestures for left and right paw. High five and heel when walking. Not that is is any useful if she was deaf but if she started to walk to fast and a good few feet ahead of us clicking the fingers made her slow down.

Looks nice and fancy...

Tea and biscuits with a bit of Christmas pud and brandy butter. Fuck knows how much the supplier got striped for that.

The answer to how much is shit loads.
We had one. The basket is very sellable.

Six pack and a bottle of Liebfraumilch would have been a better bet.

I worked on Christmas day which I have no issue with and the days is often quite fun anyway. Lots of things to make me happy :)

1. The new chef smashed it
2. Everyone was very happy
3. I was finished and back home by 18hr
4. We (the chef and I) were tipped €100 each !

Needing a driver? I love driving no matter the weather nor distance. I would hate the office side though. Did four years at college in IT and when it came to going to Uni the thought of being stuck indoors working on an office was making me depressed so chucked it for PT courier work and other half Gardening.

We're desperate for drivers TBH. I think the boss might be a bit surprised at how busy we are and how many he needs!! Downside is, needs someone with an EU passport for simplicity's sake right now :(

I LOVE the driving, but I've realised that not driving a manual minibus is why my arm/shoulder hasn't hurt for so long. Got to physio today for some repairs after two long days of driving!!!

Equally, I also love the office side - only because I can take a moment and stare at the mountains to pause and reset!! I have spent as much work time in offices as out and, depending on the jobs, I love both. Right now with the arm/shoulder issue, I'm better off in the office and TBF, I'm more use in the office really - once he has more drivers!! LOL

Only thing I don't like driving in is fog/low flying cloud - I'd give that a miss happily!! LOL

Every evening meal is the same, always makes the chef and I laugh.

Picture the scene, after a day on the mountain including an indulgent lunch, we serve drinks and a charcuterie board at around 7:30 and sit the family plus guests down to dinner at around 8pm.

Dinner is served, followed by dessert. Once dessert is finished Marina (mum of the family)
"does anyone want a satsuma?"

-Silence

"What about that end of the table, does anyone want a satsuma"

-Silence

"Dom, do you want a satsuma? Emelia, would you like one"

-Silence

Marina fails to realise that people have heard her, they just don't want ANYTHING else to eat, least of all a satsuma

Need s new battery for the Tiger. Gremlinette tells me she can get 25% staff discount at Halfords.

Only taken 18 years and 3 months for her to actually save me money, rather than me spend it on her.

Spanish Christmas..

Epiphany is also known as Three Kings Day and is traditionally the day upon which Spanish children receive their Christmas presents.

Later today, thousands of children will head outside to see the Three Kings as they parade through Lanzarote’s towns and villages, and many will present them with letters asking them for certain presents. Then it’s a nervous sleep until tomorrow morning to find out what the Kings have left.

Many homes will also serve a Roscón de Reyes – a ring-shaped cream cake that often contains a dried bean. Whoever gets the bean is the “King” for the evening.

We have a similar thing, called 'Prince Andrew Day'. I understand it makes the kids very anxious too.....

Went to my friends bar this evening - cos I was bored yesterday and baked, have to share the baking cos I can't eat it all!!

Anyway, whilst there, I met a friend I haven't seen for YEARS! Well, maybe not that many, but definitely 3 or 4 years.

She was there with another mate and we got chatting. Once I get paid, I can see Wednesday evenings being way more fun with cocktails and quiz night at the bar on a Wednesday :D :D :D This makes me very happy - meeting up with like minded people (one's a biker and the other one loves bikes) and having easy chat :D Coool :bblonde: :bblonde:
