I made chicken soup with red cabbage (and other veg) over the weekend. The red cabbage turned the chicken purple so I won't be doing that again.Dodgy69 wrote: Mon Jan 02, 2023 5:45 pm Posted my first ever sample, then off for a nice pub lunch, homemade faggots, mash and red cabbage, washed down with 2 pints of Cambrian gold.![]()

That's because they're a cheap, shoddy little outfit that use Artificial Stupidity and malgorithms. Quality platforms like this one use sapients that know about offal products.Felix wrote: Mon Jan 02, 2023 11:03 pmTalking about Faggots even in a food sense gets you a jail term or even ban on facebookDodgy69 wrote: Mon Jan 02, 2023 5:45 pm Posted my first ever sample, then off for a nice pub lunch, homemade faggots, mash and red cabbage, washed down with 2 pints of Cambrian gold.![]()
I'm guessing a woodland crafts outfit dealing in pimps, benders and faggots wouldn't last long on Farceberk.

There's many a facebook group which has been shut down at the mention of Guy Gibson's dog, when the name is mentioned purely as the name of the dog with no other intention. Facebook will close itself down with the 'community standards' which will turn it into a narrow mind set.Felix wrote: Mon Jan 02, 2023 11:03 pmTalking about Faggots even in a food sense gets you a jail term or even ban on facebookDodgy69 wrote: Mon Jan 02, 2023 5:45 pm Posted my first ever sample, then off for a nice pub lunch, homemade faggots, mash and red cabbage, washed down with 2 pints of Cambrian gold.![]()

Took a trip down to County Durham to the archery shop for some new arrows.
Not really an essential as my old set are still okayish but since when has that stopped anyone.
8 ACC (aluminium tube with carbon outer coating) now discontinued but they still had some my size.
Happy belated Christmas present to myself.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Discovered a fucking roof leak... during the middle of the chain of storms coming through.
Bit bizarre. Water is coming into the room by running along the top of the metal window frame & dripping onto the inner sill. However, there is a 2ft roof overhang above the window & we have concrete tile roof which appears undamaged.
I *think* there's something caught in the valley where two roofs meet & allowing water to get over the flashing in the valley. Tomorrow is supposed to be dry & I may be able to get up on the roof & remove a few tiles (could really use a 10-12ft step ladder about now).. or there's a leak further up the roof & the water is running along the underside of a rafter. There's no way to get access to the attic in that area with removing the AC & heater ducts. Bugger.
but tomorrow I have to take roomie to the Dr's as she has some awful lurgy.. & being the US, this means I have to take her to the Urgent Care that takes her insurance.. which means a 45 mile drive towards LA instead of just going to Urgent Care a mile from the house... or any of the dozens of other facilities in this town or the next.

Re: What have you done today thread?
Sounds like something, as you say, clogging the valley. Water backs up and gets under if the valley is tiled, usually made worse if the wind is driving in from a particular direction. Basically the water gets pushed uphill on a system designed for it to go downhill. Once inside it runs downhill again and appears at the house wall/window/ceiling edge.

Took the Tiger for its MOT and sat in the cafe, like an expectant father, nursing a latte...
I am now the proud parent of a 12 month MOT with no advisories. MOT and bike are doing well.
