Oops. Was sure it was United.
Best thing bout Law's time at Citeh was scoring the goal that would have sent them down ...

Was on a ferry yesterday evening, full of Frenchies watching the 2nd half of the game. Lots of ooohs, aaaahs, putard.......then a complete silence and the telly was turned off for the rest of the trip.

We had a houseful but in first half most were on the patio scoffing our grub. During the game they came in, in dribs and drabs.
At 80 mins it was standing room only.
Some of the ladies had no real interest in footy but it sucked them all in.

Was a good day and they all stayed supping our booze till 10 ish :D

It was the first match of this tournament that I've watched. Nephew and I talked about going to watch in a bar, but needed food, so stayed in and cooked. Kinda listened to the first half but by the extra time we were both hooked (neither of us are particularly into football). I did say that if we knew the French were going to win we could go watch the end in a bar cos it would be amazing. But the thought of being in a french bar if they lost was too much! So we stayed put.

Pretty awesome. Then tonight we went to see a friend and his barman in Argentinian :D The guy is still grinning - of course!! LOL

This popped up on my Youtube feed today, as the cups over now its worth just having a look at the process that FIFA used to choose where they had it.
Despite being a comedian John has won a few prizes for journalism (one could argue because a lot of journalists are just regurgitating press releases) and sometimes he's even funny.

Oh and as a side note, one of my sisters worked in Qatar for a few years, I'll have to ask her her a bit more for her thoughts on the place.
