I think part of it is the pics, it looks "normal" when ya standing next to it. That green one doesn't really look taller in the pic. & both of them have jackets laying on the seats which throws to perspective off a bit.

It certainly doesn't look anywhere near as lowered as a buddy's ZX14, but then again, he's not much more than 5ft tall so christ knows how much he lowered it by. I know he custom made his own lowering doodads.

I found the same about it's ability to be chucked around a bit, I was surprised that it steered quite as well as it dose, I poked my forks about 15mm above the top yoke(triple tree)
Mine needs the carbs stripping again, after Xmas now

I'm definitely getting a bit more hooliganist in The Playground on Mulholland with it, but most of the miles on it have been freeway. Still waiting on the lazy fuckers to open The Snake after the repairs from the Wolseley Fire back in 2018. They only started to fix the road earlier this year & it was supposed to open in June, then July.. then August.. then they found a couple of nests that couldn't be disturbed & here we are almost in January.
Then when it does finally open I'll be avoiding it for a couple of months until the squid contingent get the resulting crashfest out of their system..

If anyone wants that ^^^ translated this will tell you what you need to know about The Snake (and Edwards Corner). There's a YouTube link to the most bizarre footage of a Ducati Monster being ridden into a crash barrier. It looks like it took more effort to hit the barrier than not :wtf:

I had some muppet fall over right in front of me as he attempted a U turn along there one Sunday, later found out that was his second attempt at fame as he'd crashed a different bike in almost the same spot the day before...

No idea who the fuck "Adey, King of the Hill" is, never heard of him, or ever seen the guy. .. & I've been riding that road for 30 years.
& it's not "Edwards Corner", it got called "Ed's" after the owner of the RockStore died a few years ago.

When I had my s1000rr I lowered the rear with the standard flip chip as this was a mod recommended for track use. The bike turned quicker which is the opposite of everything I’ve experienced and been told before. A BSB tech in the garage I was in explained less weight on front tyre means it is easier to turn and compresses less. No idea really but it def turned quicker with a lower rear lol

I guess that makes sense. It sill requires a bit of commitment when hauling ass at WFS on the freeway sweepers.

I've just fitted a R1m radial master cylinder, I was not impressed with the Harrison 6 pot calipers and the standard master cylinder, i didn't like the lack of feel and the lever moved halfway then hardly any more for hard braking.
Now I can feel the brakes starting to bite and even though the lever is softer it's much better braking

Guy on Garage Journal forum posted pics of his garage upgrades. I spy a pair of PM wheels hanging on the wall & inquire about what bike they're for...

ZX11 he says, that he owned in the 90's...

WooT!!

Except they're for a C, not a D, so only the front will fit. Bugger.
