Wow!
"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"
"My dear Doctor, they're all true."
"Even the lies?"
"Especially the lies."

Q? They talk of this as the ultimate cup competition. So, you footie experts, are these teams that get together every once in a while actually better than the elite teams that play together week in week out - when they are /were 'in their pomp'? ie Man City, Barcelona, Bayern etc

Ah....woohoo! Game on!

It's a good question mate. If we think of the current 2 best club sides, City and Real, would they beat France or Argentina, hmmm I'd say probably.

But these 2 teams are stuffed with talent.

As weekly says it's a good question but my take on it is that national sides don't have enough time together to be a team.

I guess the other thing is you can't always take the top talent and blend them into a team. PSG spring to mind, although some of their cash goes on people at the wrong end of their career. Tournament footie is a bit different too.

Still, cracking end to the tournament. Hard to believe they took Griezman off then scored twice. Might regret it in 30 mins though....

Which one, French or Argies? Tough choice.

I’m leaning towards France, if only because of Mbappe.

That may be the kiss of death. :hmmm:

What are the odds it goes to penalties....and Mbappé misses? Or indeed does Messi?

What a game, and a fitting end for Messi's world cup games.

The Argentinians have Messi, the French have Mbbape, Griezmann and Giroud who can turn a game in a moment of genius
Your predictions have been v good so far..... :D
To be fair nobody on the planet could have predicted that one

Just Wow !!!!!!

Bit gutted for the French not to have nicked it but an amazing game that just kept giving
