So what? That doesn't mean that all of them were focused on one objective.
80 staff is 4 shifts (3 shifts + rest days) of 20 people.
How much shit were they looking for (bearing in mind that a huge amount of their task would be automated searches)?

Re: Chief Twit
Supposedly because:
US President Donald Trump's Twitter account is "permanently suspended... due to the risk of further incitement of violence", the company says.
Twitter said the decision was made "after close review of recent Tweets from the @realDonaldTrump account".

Re: Chief Twit
And 51 "former intelligence agents" signed a letter stating it was all Russian BS... GOP have said they're going to call all 51 to a hearing & have them testify under oath when they take over Congress in January. In the mean time the Biden protection plan is gearing up & already started slandering the people who will be sitting on the committee... Which we already know won't include Nation Liar Adam Schiff or Eric Swallwell, who will be losing his seat on the Intelligence Committee for banging a Chinese spy. He should have been kicked off the committee when the story first broke as he's definitely compromised.. plus he has the IQ of a shellfish, so putting him on the *intelligence* committee wasn't a wise move in the first place.

They had at least half a dozen embedded FBI agents inciting the riot which has been flagged as an insurrection.
Tamest “insurrection” in history, the over edited photos/videos trying to make it look “violent” are hilarious.

The only thing about Musk on the media today is his suspending accounts of various people. Not ONE word about the files (except on Fox)
That's almost 3 years, so approx 1 email per week, and assuming that half of those would be replies from Roth, half that number again, and that's assuming that each email was about a seperate subject, rather than several emails about the same subject.4. Between January 2020 and November 2022, there were over 150 emails between the FBI and former Twitter Trust and Safety chief Yoel Roth.
Oh...5. Some are mundane, like San Francisco agent Elvis Chan wishing Roth a Happy New Year along with a reminder to attend “our quarterly call next week.” Others are requests for information into Twitter users related to active investigations.
The latest outcry seems to be that while the general public can report any user, the organization responsible for national security gets priority by means of direct communication. Who'd have thunk it?
CBA reading through all the allegations, got as far as this one before I gave up
So Twitter agreed that 4 of the accounts were in breach of its terms of service, but that 2 were not. And that's a scandal because...?17.Of the six accounts mentioned in the previous two emails, all but two were suspended.

Re: Chief Twit
I repost this not to criticise @wheelnut but aimed at <whoever-it-was> that was saying Elon's flight data was publicly available anyway so what's the harm.wheelnut wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 10:23 pmI’m not sure that’s the issue. The issue is that the new owner of Twitter has vilified what he views as the restriction of free speech. Yet as soon as that free speech starts to become an inconvenience to him ….Screwdriver wrote: ↑Fri Dec 16, 2022 10:14 pm Though I cannot resists pointing out the rather obvious issue with doxing.
It's all very well to say "that information is out there" but even the most hardened nutjob is going to get bored scanning flight data to see if the current media villain is in their town.
Contrast that with the same ne'er do well hanging out on Twitter with their BLM/Antifa/<name your poison> chums on Twitter all day every day.
"Dang. That fucker is comin' to my town! Let's get the boys together and show him he's not welcome".
"Whoa, that little gurl of his sure is purdy..."
Is the logic of doxing vs. availability of information really that unintuitive? Surely the difference should be blindingly obvious?
Well interestingly it turns out that perhaps unsurprisingly Elon did in fact take steps to mask his precise location by using PIA (Privacy ICAO Address:https://nbaa.org/aircraft-operations/se ... dress-pia/)
In order to fly an aircraft it still does have to communicate with multiple systems of course but using PIA, my understanding is that this raw data is both unintelligible to the casual observer and highly fragmented (my interpretation). What then happened was that some lit. hacker wrote a program which could intercept, compile and reformat these data to provide real time tracking which he would link to a real time Twitter feed.
Seems a bit excessive to me and Elon apparently offered to "pay off" this hacker stop him from doing it. Anyhow, this info just popped up on my radar so here it is. Full story here: https://www.globalair.com/articles/pia- ... ta?id=4209
So again, I suggest this is not merely an innocent expression of free speech in sharing "publicly available data" but a concerted effort to Dox an individual. My take on Doxing is that it is clearly intended to harass an individual you don't like or place them in harms way by advertising their location or address so that anyone else who dislikes them can more easily do something about it.
I'm sure someone can invent some harmless spin to suggest otherwise. I'll be interested to hear what an innocent explanation could possibly be....

There's now't as queer as folk Screwd.
I've never understood why people hack social media accounts or send out computer viruses or other shit. All they are doing is pissing people off who just want to use their computer and the internet for whatever but are sometimes prevented from doing so by some spotty arsehole with a grudge. Why do they do it? Because they can I guess.
They're just twats.

If I was Musk I'd be talking to the FAA about their 'anonymised' flight plans, somebody there doesn't know or care much about data security.
They need GDPR, that would have it covered.

Not only no flowers or chocolates, you can't even bring yourself to say my name ...
Anywayup, what kiddo did is soooo difficult that there's a website showing it (note it states LADD).
Also worth noting, according to:
https://slate.com/technology/2022/12/el ... ivacy.html
“Criticizing me all day long is totally fine, but doxxing my real-time location and endangering my family is not,” Musk tweeted Thursday night. (He said that a stalker had used the information to track his young child in a car, though he doesn’t have appeared to have filed a police report, and he hadn’t used his jet on the day in question.)
Here's where the plane is now, if you want to drop in and say Hi.

For such a successful person he doesn't seem to understand how the internet or people work.
First he says he won't ban Elon jet then he does, like thats going to stop his jet being tracked. Really? Boom, the Streisand effect kicks in.
40,000 in two days, yup that stopped that.

Re: Chief Twit
Such secrecy is available. I think the article I link to discusses military movements etc. Seems a bit extreme for any public figure to have to hide their movements just to stop rent-a-mob following their every move. I guess that's just the nature of modern political activism.
What it does flag up quite clearly is the complexity of the whole "freedom of expression" issue. We all remember the good old days of VisorDown. It was carnage! Great fun but half the posts on their would have the site shut down in a heartbeat and certain members probably chucked in jail just in case. Yes, I am probably as guilty as any...
As it happens, I kept copies of some of the more outrageous stories (mostly involving me!) both from VD and TRC. There's no chance I could post them here (Dead Mexicans anyone?) but I am sorely tempted to bung some of it up on an anonymised website, just for shits and giggles...

Did you read my post above? This is not "freely available" data in the normal use of the phrase. It is carefully and deliberately reformatted so that it can be "used" for a purpose for which it is not intended, i.e. doxing...crust wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 3:01 pm For such a successful person he doesn't seem to understand how the internet or people work.

What possible use could it be for? Is it really in the public interest to have <name your celebrity here> followed every minute of their lives? What must it be like for that unfortunate victim? Didn't go down so well with Princess Diana. Does celebrity status, fame or infamy deserve such treatment? Are they literally "asking for it"...
It is mob rule if you ask me. Question is, who is controlling the mob?

a. Not particularly difficult to achieve i.e. matey wasn't the only one
b. There must be a 'market' in the same way that lifestyles of celebrities sells newspapers and magazines
Also:
c. Do you really think you can post on the Internet and be totally anonymous (see ''b' , and relating to the 'stories' thread)?
And to reiterate: the nutter who allegedly attacked Musk's car did so on a day when the aircraft was [reportedly] not used - yet that was the justification for the bans.Horse wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 2:45 pm Not only no flowers or chocolates, you can't even bring yourself to say my name ...

Yes, I did read your post.
My comment was on his lack of understanding of the way people/the internet works. I don't care about the rights or wrongs, it is the way life works in the current age, you can't keep things quiet or hide them if people want to find them out. See Streisand effect.
American news is full of people having to move/hide because other people have tracked them down. See Nancy Pelosi and the hammer bloke.
As for the mob, all sides are trying to control the mob, thats the power of the internet, everyone can manipulate.

Re: Chief Twit
Personally, I'd be more interested in Musk's carbon footprint as a consequence of his jet usage. For someone who touts his green credentials that could be decidedly embarrassing. Or not. I doubt if it bothers him.

Seriously?
What the fuck for, especially if you can't or won't use it now?
It's the Internet, it's done and dusted, it was all over and forgotten an hour after it was posted (unless you're also Ant).
There are too many people who take this stuff way to seriously. You're one of them Screwd.
