If it didn't take effort I could be offended by that, but as I'm lazy and got a skin thicker than a rhino, I'm mildly amused.

The Diavel is a camp man's idea of macho, it's an all the (fetish) gear, but no idea bike, like a V-Max or a Harley, whereas the Mantra is a timeless piece of design that rates alongside the Aprillia Moto 6.5 and Suzuki Freewind as a classic of form over function.

It's the NEW V4 one, so the pipe has to have four exits to sperate it from the council spec twin cylinder version.

If I had the funds I would buy one of these old Ducati's





I like the look of the 888's & 851's but always thought the F2 bikes were the best looking Ducati's.
At least I could look at them if / when they decided not to play.
I know someone with a imaculate Monster,not sure which version it is as it's not ran for years & has been in a N/W Ducati shop for months as no one has managed to get the thing switch on
He called round my mates last summer & as I was there on my little SV650 I couldn't help pointing out to him that he could now look at a Vtwin that ran,even if it wasn't as 'cool'as his pretty but comatose Ducati

It was at the Classic TT a few years ago.I think the Green background meant it was racing in the lightweight race.

I think you'll find it's a Pantah-based F2 racer of the type that Tony Rutter raced, not a Hailwood rep. The Hailwood rep era bikes were bevel gear motors, the Pantah/F2 bikes had belt gear drive.

The 750SS is the dog of the family.

Not much more power than the cheaper 600, but without the alloy swingarm and twin disc setup of the 900.
