Greizmann has been stunning so far in this World Cup - but others seem to take all the limelight.
He was the backbone of orchestrating the midfield against England.
It will be interesting what he gets up to tonight

Well, when I get reincarnated I'm coming back as Olivier Giroud.

Sounds about right to me but just to add variation, 2-1 France in normal time and Mbappé not one of the scorers.

I'm torn. Slightly miffed still about my host country's relatively straightforward dismissal of our England, and everyone loves an underdog right?, so a hopeful 2-1 victory to Morocco.
It's an easy decision for the final, overall I think Messi is deserving of a WC Winners medal.

TBH, I did wonder why Ryland Clarke was playing up front for France ...

I think I must be a bit odd - I just don't get the Messi thing ( although, I didn't see last night's game)

I had to Google Ryland Clarke  He looks like Max Headroom with a beard.

Giroud looks like he'd ride a café racer and make them look desirable. He's even cool WITH a beard. :D (He also looks like he actually enjoys playing. Which is nice).

Messi? Meh. I'd send off anyone wearing golden boots (+ anyone with a man bun/silly haircut/piece of string around the head as soon as they stepped onto the field of play. Fashion crime...phweeeeep!).

Good first half ..... the early goal has opened it right up with both teams having a go. Deschamps will be using the break to come up with something stop the continual attacks by Morocco through Ziyech on the right

Tough on Morocco but they do need to go to finishing school. They've been one of the highlights of the tournament.

Good call Bigyin.

Excellent match, Morocco threw the kitchen sink, dishwasher and cooker at it but just wasnt enough to overcome the quality of France

Griezmann should be man of the match as he covered the entire pitch in both attacking and defending

I reckoned 2-0 ;) i should have started betting

Good game. One card, not a bad ref and a wonder sub. What was not to like unless you were Moroccan. :D

I thought the Mexican ref was a breath of fresh air. 'What? He didn't assault you with an iron bar, what are you moaning about you big blouse?'. The yellow he did give was a bit :hmmm: though.

Dare I say this, but neither of the finalists have looked exceptional.
Good yeah, but not breathtaking.

Maybe it's down to the win being more important than the performance.

Let's hope the final brings out the best.

Seems like the organisers agreed ;)

Image

There was a heat map of his workload and they reckoned he played every position and was even on the goal line at a couple of points in his defending ;)

I think France just played it a certain way, letting Morocco come at them, but being exceptionally disciplined at the back. Their defence was rock solid, despite Morocco having chances, they still didn't really look like doing much in terms of scoring. France then hit on the break with pace..
I think France will play the same in Final, hitting Argentina with pace on the counter mostly. The problem with this plan is giving players like Messi the ball is more dangerous than your average random Moroccan
