I rarely get what I call a 'proper' roast dinner. The only friends that cook one are yorkshire - so the yorkshire pud is the starter Which is fine, but then there isn't one on the plate with the meat
Really must make more effort and cook one for me! LOL

Wife has woman flu and didn't make me a packed lunch. Bitch. So I'm pondering what I should have from Tesco Metro. I could go for a meal deal, but when such an opportunity presents itself, it can justify cornish pasties and scotch eggs and other things that are currently on the banned substance list.

Sitting on Brighton sea front. Seeing as I have a retro bike now I thought I would be all mods and rockers about it. Burt my hand on my exhaust pipe like a complete noob so got a cold can of coke in one hand and a coffee in the other

Re: A right now thread
curled up on a sofa at my mates house. The bed here knackered my back when I stayed for a couple of weeks, and I have to get up at 4.30am to go get them from the airport, so I decided I'd sleep on the sofa! There's a decent heater in here, so I might be warm and comfortable

Sat on the ferry to Fuertaventura
I tried a while ago but got here after last ferry at 10:45
Last night forecast showed big storms so didn't book.
This morning all showed full but wanted a ride anyway so went to ferry.
Got on no probs.
Roads were still wet but nice forecast so should dry out quickly.
Woo hoo

Was fine for a nap. The beautiful beaches are too busy.
We camped there a few weeks ago.

We have snow falling. On the plus side it's warmer than the -6° it was at 9am.

“Sunny” Sussex by the sea. Roads will be a nightmare tomorrow as the earlier rain has washed all the salt away.

Good job the weather is inclement, I have been struck down with man-flu. I may survive, but it is a close run thing.

A lot of it about but just had 2 more people report that they've got the 'rona, my sister's all jabbed up but is v ill with it too. Seems to have dropped out of the news but it's alive and kicking quite vigorously if our contacts are a representative sample. Chuck in the Strep problem and the seasonal norovirus and seasonal jollity is a bit subdued!Cousin Jack wrote: ↑Sun Dec 11, 2022 3:21 pm Good job the weather is inclement, I have been struck down with man-flu. Yesterday I heard one of the staff at Sainsbury's say to a colleague 'I think I'll go home, I feel really bad'. Marv.

Negative on the covid front, this is genuine man-flu, so vaccines are totally ineffective. The only sure cure is the ministrations of teenage virgins, and I am very short of them.
