There was talk on the BBC Sport of time for Southgate to go  He has been the best manager for England in years FFS.
He's one of the positives. Exemplary in management and decent tactics. And an Englishman, he cares
I think he is a bit defensively minded but that's to be expected. He has however built a great team spirit in the side and its the best squad of England players I've seen in my lifetime, they actually play for each other. He's also got us to a semi, a final (which I never thought I'd see) and the quarters of a WC which saw Brazil, Portugal, Netherlands out. And one which saw us get further than Germany and Spain.

The downers are always gonna be down on Engerland, let em get on with it.

Like Taipan I'm used to England going out cos they are a bit crap, I don't think they were last night at all.

In other news, the England cricket team are doing brilliantly in their tour of Pakistan. In the previous 60-odd years of playing Test cricket in Pakistan, they'd won just twice. On this tour they've won two tests (out of two) in the space of not much more than a week.

Well. Have you all lost interest.

Hard one to call i say. Croatia may get the edge but down to extra time possibly penalties. For sure a lot of acting

Given my accuracy in predictions in the last round I think I'll hold on the predictions.

Hope the referee is better than the last game.

The little fella is having a blinder tonight ……. He might spend a lot of time walking but when he decides he wants to play it’s superb

I am with McCoist and Dixon on this one, anywhere on the pitch that’s a foul so in the box it’s a penalty. If the keeper had played the ball at all he might have got away with it but he missed it and took out the player

Simples ;)

Had the sound off. Cant be doing with the fat drunk. Way i see it as he is the goalie he is more than intitled to go for the ball. The Argie boy ran into him while defending his goal and all it was was an incident that should have got waved on.

2 ex players and an ex ref agree with me almost exactly as I said, 3 ex players in the studio agree with you on the same explanation you have

It will always be the case ;)

I think VAR should have been looked as as well as the penalty not given but to late, history now. I fancy France in the final and sending Messi and co heeds into there hanky's

VAR is supposedly for showing a ref he has made a mistake ….. by not going to it means all the VAR crew thought it was a penalty as well

Yup, I think France for the eventual win unless Morocco pull another shock out of the bag then probably Argentina over them

Was a dodgy one, he had got his shot away before any contact with keeper and didn't score, then they collided into each other. Win win for striker.

Morroco on penalties. 👍
