So, it's shameful to lose to France?

Is there pride in winning?
What’s the converse of that?

So you exist in a binary sports universe where every game is either an exercise in pride or shame? What emotion is in play for a draw? Is there no room in your philosophy for admitting that your team was outmatched, even if only by a little, and that your team gave their all and came up just short?
I see no shame in England's performance, but you obviously do. Some supporter.

Can’t help thinking this World Cup is more perverse, exploitative and cynical even than the usual.

I have been enjoying this world cup. Shit weather and good timing of matches have worked out well and i have never watched so many games. Apart from some rainbow clowns at the start its been quite a good tournament and the hosts have not stoned any fans or cut hands off. Even some Jocks are enjoying it

I've spent years watching England under perform but I thought they played well, I definitely don't think they were out played. The ref was shocking, it like with Brazil etc out FIFA need Mbappe vs Messi.
Go Morocco Them vs Croatia would be great.

England played well. Some atrocious fouls from the French and some crazy and ridiculous refereeing! Normally when England go out I think they deserved to as they played shit. This time I was pleased with the effort. A great shame but we can keep our heads held high.

He's one of the positives. Exemplary in management and decent tactics. And an Englishman, he cares
