Good grief, you believe Newsom??
Good grief, can you not read?

I quoted from the linked website. Who are they?

Healthline’s Medical Affairs team ensures that Healthline’s content, products, and services uphold the highest standards of medical integrity. Our dedicated team manages an extensive medical network of over 150 healthcare professionals providing medical review, expert POVs, and clinical guidance. Healthline’s healthcare professionals help ensure that the information we publish is accurate, evidence-based, current, person-centric, and trustworthy.

So, to settle this for us, just quote a plain English (we'll accept s for z etc) summary of what law actually says.

The intent was to punish doctors etc who lie to you. The problem is in who decides what is true.

Newsom still hasn't given up his emergency powers that he enacted when Covid first came around. The plan is he intends to in about 2 1/2 months.
The media here is once again in full covid panic so it's unlikely that he actually will, only this time it's "Triple Virus Threat" (Covid, RSV & Flu)

The intent is to ensure doctors give good advice that follows sound medical consensus.

It’s quite worrying that the good doctors of California need to be reminded of this.

That in itself is the real problem here, Many of the absolute "facts" as espoused by Fauci et.al. have been found to be disingenuous at best and downright lies at worst.

"Having a COVID jab stops you spreading COVID".
Turns out, not to be true. Having a vaccine does not have any effect on transmission. It might be a "white lie" since the more people who are vaccinated (or immune) the fewer people become infected etc. but it's still a false statement. Perpetrated to encourage people to take the vaccine but still not a true statement. The narrative was: unvaccinated people are spreading the virus.

The mask mandate: entirely marginal method for reducing transmission other than gross viral payloads being sneezed out or spat out when an infected person is sneezing or speaking. The masks we have been ordered to wear do not have any effect on preventing the nanoscopic virus from being breathed in right though the mask. Even if they stop lumps of snot hitting you in the face, you're still going to touch the mask, fiddle with it, get whatever viral load is present on your hands etc.*

"SARS-CoV-2 was not created in a lab". Not a true statement. No one knows. Certainly the bat to pangolin to human theory has been effectively debunked. If there were any animals infected, none has ever been found. Currently the "lab leak theory" is the most likely candidate. Question is, if no one knew for sure or had any actual evidence (one way or the other) why did Fauci, the CDC and WHO immediately dismiss the idea that it was man made?

And no, I am not saying that my interpretations above are absolutely "true" it is simply what I believe to be the current state of understanding. Entirely at odds with what we were told was absolutely unquestionably (!) true only a year or so ago. People lost their jobs for disagreeing with some of these arbitrary decisions on what is true...

* I know for certain that a LOT of people move the mask to one side when they are speaking and I sincerely doubt anyone would sneeze into their own mask!

We have a special class of idiot here who wear masks while driving alone in their cars.

"Follow the science" should include not wearing a totally ineffective piece of face fashion

Back to Elon news...

He just fired Twitter General Counsel, James Baker, for vetting & suppressing the release of the juicy stuff... & it just so happens to have been a former FBI agent who was connected to the Russian collusion hoax.

I would have let it lie (I have no great interest in the obsession with Biden, and his offspring and their laptops, or Elon Musk charging about protecting democracy - because political leaders and megalomaniac billionaires being cnuts is pretty much a given - but I am interested in the hows and whys of FBI intervention I suppose) but I do have a professional interest in clinical trials - and to see certain people selectively using evidence, and mainly lack of evidence, and a load of 'what-if?' conjecture as proof of a corrupt system is just wearying. The crybaby swerving, backtracking, and squeaks of patronisation when you dare to raise a few credentials and you call them out on it is just hilarious. And of course when you see poor analysis on a subject you do have some knowledge, then it doesn't reflect well on the same analysis of subjects where you don't.

TBF - pretty much anyone who has some in depth knowledge on 'something' can see that almost everything that's written about that 'something' is total bollox. But then we all go an believe what's written about all the other something's we know little about anyway :D

It's also pretty frustrating. There's a good point to be made about transparency but it all gets lost and diverted from with all the emotive tinfoil hat stuff about conspiracy, Ivermectin, :angry-cussingblack: laptops etc etc.

I read that BMA link last time and studied it again in more detail this time, went through the tables, made notes and have a few comments, mostly positive but one or two queries. But tbh I can't be arsed typing them here. What's the point? People decide what they believe then just want to tell you what they believe.

Maybe don't do that I suppose :D

Every tweet from a personal account is just "stuff what I reckon" isn't it, so it matters very much who the reckoner is doesn't it?

I'm starting to think the older you get the more you blindly believe anything you are told.

Some of you lot on here are good proof of that, along with my parents who are in their 80's and just believe every single thing that they are told by the media.

I suppose you just give up trying to decipher the truth from the lies as you probably get to the point where you except the world is full of corruption and there isn't anything you can do about it!

The Truth is out there somewhere, we just have to find it...:)

Don't you start.
Why are you so obsessed with me? This is about Twitter.

As for believing everything the media says, I guess you must have translated my comment "I don't believe anything the media says" with some sort of gobbledegook filter.

I guess reading or comprehension is not your strong point.

The Truth? You can't handle The Truth.

PS I got more cynical/sceptical as I got older and believed 'the media' less. I'm interested in what you are doing about it.
