At some point, I switched my annual Strava goal to 7300mi (20 miles a day.) Of course Zwift helps this a lot, but then so do chaingang’s and group rides.

Currently 163mi ahead on 6943.

Hopefully 13mi a day should be achievable 😀

:D Ah, ying and yang of fitness and fatness.

For the first 62 years of my life (couldn't talk for the first year or so), the words "I'm going to the gym" only passed my lips when that action was enforced by the school timetable.

Stopping biking (and training - which often involved running around a car park while wearing full bike gear) meant a gradual drop in fitness, lockdown meant an increase in fatness.

Coincidentally, both filly and I thought about joining a gym. Discussed it, did it.

8kgs off
BMI 28 down to 25

Strength much increased
Even bland can be a type of character

I've only managed about 1200 miles this year. I'd like to at least double that next year.

Just about to restart Zwift for the winter months.

Slacked off on the routine on Tuesday so had to do twice as much yesterday. Pharquing hell, 200 sit-ups & 200 squats with 40lb instead of 100 reps was an ordeal. Was still playing catch up at 10pm last night.

Does furious and prolonged masturbation count? 8-)

Well, having managed for five years to stay the same weight despite lack of mobility, the last six months I've not done so well.

Roll on winter, smooth pistes and a lot of early morning walks up the mountain :D :D :D

Yesterday was day 30 of the "100 squats a day" deal, which was handy as I buggered my left knee today. (started 30 days/100 tripod rows today with a 30lb dumbell, 50 a side, may increase that)
Wednesday was day 30 of the 100 tricep extensions deal (started 30 days/100 bicep curls)
Tomorrow is day 30 of the 100 sit up's deal (not sure what the next 30 day/100 rep deal will be yet. Got about 80 exercises to choose from)

Once the 30 day/100 rep deal is done I switch to 50 reps, altho no squats today.

Attempted a pull up this morning. Had simultaneous pops from both shoulders as I just hung there...

..slightly lower bar may help, not one 7'6 in the air (yeah, I didn't even believe that as I typed it)

Made it 😎

Hopped on this evening for a Z1 easy aerobic spin. Ticked off another route, Eastern 8 in Watopia, as it was just long enough to get me over my annual mileage target of 7300 miles 🎉

I'm slightly surprised it's that low.... I'd have thought you'd be over 10.

🤣

I generally only ride 5x a week so would need to average 38 miles a ride to hit that. Doable if I only rode Zwift perhaps…

Wow... that is indeed a lot mate yeah.

I've not even looked this year, mostly because i don't Strava outdoor rides these days, so no idea what my actual figures would be.
