Caught a comment about the last 16 on the radio. Half were European. Considering the teams that weren't there, like Germany and Belgium (not to mention Italy), that's quite impressive.

Maybe we should stick it to FIFA and just have a European competition. (Winner plays the winner of Brazil v Argentina for the world title

).

TBF, I'm gonna be pushing my luck to get the bus home (just realised it's the first day of the season!) if I stay in the Brit place! Going there early to see a band I like, but will probably get the bus back to my bit of resort and go French!! LOL

(I think I'd prefer the French to win anyway!!)

I'm doing patriotic nudey streaking, random acts of violence and daubing a cross of St George on the boulangerie window, if England win on Saturday.

Although we take the mick out of our own bad rep it was telling that the only violence at the CL final was from the French, and they weren't even taking part!

I think that was the locals, not even proper fans, taking advantage of the terrible planning and location. It's an awful location for a stadium.

Again, hardly the scousers fault that the french build a stadium on the wrong place, can't manage it and can't organise it.

It's been interesting. Croatia more accurate but Japan more energetic but with lots of passes about a foot off the mark and losing momentum in many moves.

I don't think either will scare some of the teams likely to get into the last 8.
