Yeah we all know how accurate 1970s claimed BHP figures are and all taken at crank, never rear wheel

Re: ZXR H2 Smoker
It was in Performance Bikes back in 2014 I think, I have it somewhere but would need to look it out, I can’t find anything online other than it being mentioned on Facebook and various forums.
I met Andy back in 2009 and he’s unbelievable when it comes to shit like this, he was working in F1 at the time so being able to build this from the ground up and do what he did was relatively easy, at cost.
I’m trying to add videos but it’s not working for some reason!!!!!

Re: ZXR H2 Smoker
I'd be very sceptical of 120bhp claims. I've seen other owners with 'tuned' KH750s claiming 120bhp +, but it's a 50 year old air-cooled design so I don't really buy it. I'd be interested to know what power figures were claimed for Mick Grant's KR750 race bike in the mid '70s. Nowhere near 120bhp, I'd bet. I'd say the guy in the vid would be lucky to get 100bhp out of it, and around 90 bhp would be more realistic.

Re: ZXR H2 Smoker
Just found this MCN interview with Mick about his KR750:
https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/201 ... mcn-sport/
He reckons the KR was making 125-130bhp and that was from a water-cooled factory racer, so 120bhp+ out of a road KH750 is total pie in the sky.

Don't understand how anyone could ride a bike with that little power... everyone knows you need at least 150 hp to have fun on the road.

Re: ZXR H2 Smoker
I’ll try again.
Vids should be attached showing Andy’s Zx7r fitted with the 10r engine, anyone who was on the 9r forum years ago might remember the build thread, it’s been talked about lots on Facebook and was in the mags but I’m struggling to find anything showing the build spec online.
