If kids shouldn't have the covid jab why are they suddenly vaccinating kids in bulk for flu? I've just had an an email from the school saying the immunisation service is turning up to school on Monday to do this???
Unless the risk of flu to individual children has suddenly changed and I missed it

Old(ish) news. Naughty Pfizer and BioNTech? Looks like it.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business ... d-lawsuit/

Moderna sued Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech on Friday [19th August 2022], alleging that the rival firms improperly used its foundational technology in developing their coronavirus vaccine. The suit sets up a legal battle between the most prominent companies that helped curb the coronavirus pandemic in the United States by developing highly effective shots in record time.
BioNtech also being sued by Curevac for patent infringement.

Maybe shareholders would disagree. I dunno. Maybe Michelin should give out free tyres, or patent technology, because it's a road safety issue.

In other news, I get my #4 CovId jab on saturday afternoon, the bivalent one focusing on a couple of the Omicron variants.

Is "they" Pfizer/BioNtech, or Moderna, or Curevac?

Simple answer, all of them. None of this should ever have been about money, technology etc. It was quite literally life and death. Going back and no trying to sue or or the other just makes them utter slime in my book.

Maybe if they'd shared more, some people wouldn't be dead now.

From the link I posted it appears that Moderna did share - it's Pfizer and BioNTech that have made big profits and, as Moderna's lawsuit alleges, refused to acknowledge their use of Moderna patents.

Volvo invented the 3 point seat belt, patented it, then let everyone use it for free because it was a big step forward in road safety.

I'm getting my 4th tomorrow night. Other than shivers etc after the first AZ one I've had no side effects at all.

Other than trying to shag 5G masts.

I'm gonna drink a load of cider/rum Fri night and another load Sat night as I'm going to see Bob Vylan, I'm sure that'll be worse for me than the jab.

Fauci, Biden, CDC etc: Get the jab, it helps prevent transmission.

Pfizer: "Er, we never tested if it actually does that.."

Fauci, Biden, CDC etc: Wear a mask, it helps prevent you being infected

Mask manufacturers & *science*: None of the masks do that.

Fauci, Biden, CDC etc: Wear a mask, it helps prevent you from spreading the virus

Mask manufacturers & *science*: No they don't.

And Trump, and Johnson, and Chris Whitty (CMO UK). And pretty much the rest of the world at the time (other than the conspiracists and soothsayers who, despite not having access to all the data - their own words -, or any of the expertise were able to come to their own conclusions). So it must be a global, cross party, multi agency conspiracy then.?

Typically vaccine testing doesn't test for transmission, you won't be surprised that it focuses on efficacy and safety. so yes what Pfizer eventually said was correct. It wasn't in the protocol. The problem with this is one of semantics. If you don't have covid in the first place, due to being vaccinated, then you're less like likely to transmit. -Not- that if you're vaccinated and infected you're less likely to transmit. So, the message is lost both in dopey explanation and exacerbated by dopey comprehension and the temptation to go "look! lies!" and think about any excuse not to get vaccinated or take care

But at the end of the day, convincing people that the big cheeses have been fibbing to you (based upon easily debunked semantics) just means fewer got vaccinated, or took care of themselves and others, more people died unnecessarily. So yeah clap yourselves on the back.

Daily Mail source:

A protein in the lungs that blocks Covid and forms a natural barrier to the virus has been discovered by scientists at the University of Sydney.

The naturally occurring protein, LRRC15, works by attaching itself to the virus like Velcro, preventing the Covid particles from binding with more vulnerable cells - as well as reducing the chance of infection.
The astonishing find may finally explain why some people suffer serious illness with the virus, or even death, while others never get sick or appear symptomless.

LRRC15 is not known to be present in humans until the virus enters the body, but it appears after infection.

The protein helps activate the body's response to Covid and the team behind the incredible find hopes it will offer a promising pathway to develop new drugs to fight the virus.

Researchers believe that patients who died from Covid-19 did not produce enough of the protein, or produced it too late to make a difference.

This theory is supported by a separate study from London that examined blood samples for LRRC15.

That study found the protein was lower in the blood of patients with severe covid compared to patients that had mild Covid.
Even bland can be a type of character

I'm sure you can't make any sort of joke about a protein injection.

Still not had it, although to be fair I can only really say I've had no symptoms as I gave up testing a long way back
