A momentous day...

Post by chutzpah »

My retired neighbour, who used to work in the tool trade and has every tool going (to a very high standard) and I have to often embarrassingly ask if I can borrow something knocked on my door earlier.

"Have you got a spoke key? I just got back from a ride and realised that a couple of my spokes are really loose"

Tim, I have three with different gauges. Oh, and here's a spoke tension meter. May come in handy. Do you need a truing stand? Oh, and I have a dishing tool if you need one.

Trust me, having lived next door to Tim for years this was a momentous day! :D (and I did mention that to him).

I will also admit to heroically handing it over and leaving him to it. Other than the fact it's not the sort of job you want someone standing over your shoulder and chatting away, I know if I ended up helping I'd be there for ages making it 'just right'.
