While the man cave is half empty, I swept and mopped the floor. I don't wash the bikes, but I do like a clean floor :obscene-birdiedoublered:

It looks very empty. The GasGas will be in next week :)

Returned to work. :)

Riding in was edging on painful but I made it. Knowing I'd be away for a minimum of 6 weeks I turned the heating off before I left. 9 weeks later I have returned and it's like a commercial freezer in here! :wtf:

I got a new MS Surface before I left and had to have a new bitlocker and AD password, which of course i'd forgotten and had to have it all reset. :?

Now all my PCs are working and the heating is back on and its toasty in here. It's good to be back, even if i have got Japan in the WC sweepstake here.

Got to witness the antics of the Special Escort Group coming up East Smithfield from the LImehouse Link. Usual riding which to me seems just a little too reckless in my opinion, but what do I know? Big ol' Bentley in the middle of the convoy carrying President Ramaphosa of South Africa. I gave him a nod, but he didn't nod back.

Never noticed before but all their bikes have number plates ending 'SEG'.

Yesterday, not today. I did some DIY and made LOTS more storage space :D :D Was going to go to the garage to do some more sorting there, but it's snowing and I'm cold!! LOL So I'll make a plan to go tomorrow and get the car loaded to take stuff to people that want it and to the tip :D :D

Just means I have to do some more DIY to do the same on the other side and then I should have way more space under the bed to actually get at things!! LOL

They will kill someone one day. Absolute stupidity to ride at those speeds on heavily congested roads with pedestrians and cyclist emerging from between high vehicles where they have no chance of seeing them or stopping at the speeds they do. Like most people in London, I've seen some shocking near misses!

Ordered a tank bag for the ZX11. Yesterday is was barely 30deg when I went out on the bike & I was dressed for it... A few hours later coming home it was damn near 70deg & I couldn't strip anything off... which sucked. Thank fuck I left the liner at home.
Not an issue with the ZRX owing to the cavern under the seat (especially with the battery relocation). Can fit a large loaf of bread under the ZRX11 seat... ZX11 seat space barely takes a sandwich...
Also ordered a small spring mesh net thingie to strap crap to the PAX seat.

I got severely yelled at while dispatching back in the day. They were going a bit bloody slow along Holborn & I started to pass them. A PAX in one of the Rovers opened the window & gave me a right earful. They were escorting some high level IRA bloke to his trial.

I got waved back some years ago. Whilst the bikes speed here, there and everywhere the convoy travels at a constant speed. I went whizzing up and got a very aggressive wave out of the passenger window..

Oops.

I've had one open his door and wave his gun at me. I must have missed the bit in the highway code that says not to overtake them even if they are going slower than a push bike.

Part of 'protection' driving is to stop in queues allowing plenty of space ahead in case there's a need to drive away quickly.

Ideal for a bike to filter into.

'Whoops' again :)

Car occupants can do some very serious glaring when they want to :D
Even bland can be a type of character

Just been for another Covid injection.

It's funny looking back to the first where i had to drive to Heathrow, queue in masks, all staff in full masks and kit...

Today, walked into Doctors, was in there 30s... didn't even sit me down... just "ok, here you go..." and off he went..

Called into the Ducati shop on the way to a meeting, sat on the various bikes and was surprised to find that out of them all I fancied the Hypermotard SP the most - but I don't think I fancy it enough to buy one.

Given the use it gets I'd certainly understand that. It's a chunk of change sitting there idle for sure. Sometimes it's nice to have toys though...

Navigated the murky world of shop van hire today.
€800 deposit, copy of leccy bill, drivers licence.
2 hrs hire for €15 and €5 diesel.
Annoyingly didn't realise the patio doors came as a kit, so it would have fitted in the boot of the Moho anyway, but a bit more of a struggle!
Anyone know how to build a door frame?

Got rained on. Sat at window watching rain sulking as BT took down the telegraph pole so no decent TV, Radio and internet. The pole thing got me thinking. No one got a message to say its coming down. What about fold who use the phone line for house alarms, personal attack alarms and OAP's who have the alert buttons for if they have a fall. Seems i tad ill thought.
